Ok Ya'll! I have heard and read all your wonderful "Wow" stories! I have one to add. From elementary school (5th grade****il my senior year I wore a size 14. After high school I didn't gain the freshman 10,15,20, or even 40 pounds. I gained 100 pounds in one year! I started working for Catherine's Plus Size ( a wonderful plus size clothing store) 5 weeks ago. I am the Assistant Store Manager. I knew when I took the job I was towards then end of wearing plus size clothes, but I figured that with experiance in being plus size I can help my customers and maybe even help those who are thinking of having wls. (A lot have thought about it, had, or getting ready for it, it makes me proud to see women who are making their change for themselves) Anyway, I was in a 18 for a month or so when I started, then the past few weeks I have been in a size 16. My first goal was 100 pounds to be gone forever. I am 5 pounds from that. My second goal is a size 14. From there the goals are still a little beyond sight final goal 150 pounds and/or a size 10. Tonight I tried on a size 14 dress suit and it fit. I cried so hard. My co-worker thought I'd lost my marbles! LOL!! I hope everyone feels this way hitting their mini, long term, and WOW goals!! Take care! Heather Powell

OH HEATHER thats lovely! I dont know but getting into those smaller SIZED clothing is the best! KEEP up the wonderful work I bet your looking awesome. We get lost at times hideing in our baggy loose fitting stuff. BUT when we get into the smaller sizes its wonderful. LISA 310/198/???

Heather - that is so cool! Congratulations. I think it's great that you can be in a postion to be supportive to others who may have questions about wls. I too had a WOW moment this week - just 2 years ago I had to ORDER pants to find them big enough to wear. Monday I fit into a size 14W! It's absolutly amazing to me that it's even possible (and they're not the real stretchy ones either). I'm not actually thinking about trying on jeans (haven't worn jeans in 15+ years)! Congrats on meeting your mini-goal!!! I think I will miss being able to shop at Catherine's. I will still probably check in there on occasion to get something for my mother-in-law. Karen
