How is everyone doing? You all sound great! Thought I'd stop in and give an update, as I have been terrible about posting on here. Sorry about that. Anyway, here I am at 5+ months since my surgery on 06/10, and I am feeling wonderful! Thought I'd share some of my experiences of late. I have lost a total of 87 pounds and can now wear a size 10 jeans!!!!! My hair is falling out, still. It has been for months now. Thank God it was so thick to start with that nobody but my hubby and I can really tell. Still, I'll be glad when this phase is over. I do water aerobics 3-4 times a week, in a regular bathing suit, in front of other people!!!! I love to shop for new clothes! Sometimes I don't even buy anything. I just try on all these incredibly small items of clothing and stand in the mirror with my mouth hanging open! On Thanksgiving day, after eating a little Turkey, some potatoes, a couple bites of stuffing, some cranberry sauce and green beans, and a slice of sugar-free banana bread, I went outside and played softball for an hour with my family and friends, and I ran all the way around the bases several times without fear of a heart attack!!!! Everyone keeps telling me how great I look. I got whistled at the other day, by a man who wasn't old or blind! Even my feet have gotten smaller, and I have had to buy new shoes 1 size smaller than before surgery! I got to buy Nylons that were NOT Just My Size or even in the plus section. Yes, it's true, I really DO have cheekbones! Well, that's about all for now. Just thought I'd share. I hope everyone is having as much fun with this new lease on life as I have been. Talk at ya later!!!!

That is so awesome. You are doing wonderful. Oh boy do I know about the Nylons! They have become my bestfriend. I could not even wear the Just My Size ones because my legs rubbed together and would make them raw from the hose! Now they are the best. They keep everything in place and sucked in! I also know about the shoe thing! I used to have to buy a 91/2 or 10 just to fit. Now I am an 81/2 or 9. It is wonderful. I had to get rid of about 20 pairs of shoes, that was kinda depressing but just keep in mind that now I can buy a bunch more. Isn't this life just GRAND!!!! Have a wonderful holiday season! Wow, I haven't worn nylons since about 1987! I also had problems with my legs rubbing together and hurting so just stopped. That also stopped me from wearing skirts or dresses. I have been a knit black pants girl for years. I went to the annual gala ball for weight loss surgery patients in Minnesota weekend before last and wore a ball gown (without nylons) That was the first dress I'd worn in a very long time and it was so much fun. I am having fun buying jeans and other kinds of slacks but other than my ball gown, no dresses or skirts yet. That will have to be my next adventure. Maybe I'll get that coveted 'little black dress' when I get to goal. You're right, this is fun Jo
