ok ladies and gents...i am just a little over 4 months...5 is not till the 22nd of Nov. However, I am seeing such wonderful results from each of you and I must say I am jealous. Thus far, I have lost 75lbs but I started at 304 so I am at 229 and the scale isn't moving. I actually gained a couple of pounds but stayed really focused and lost it but nothing since. I have been at 229 for 2 1/2 weeks. I am getting so discourage and I know I have cheated a little w/ Halloween...but how are you guys down 100lbs so far. I so wanted to down 100 by Christmas...which means 25lbs in 6 weeks...I don't think I can do it. And that makes me really sad. How much are you guys exercising? protein? water? Please help boost me back into the losing mode !! I still have 40lbs to goal. Ughhh 304/229/170

Crystal, You have hit a plateau! It will move again just stay focused! I just now started to lose again after 3 weeks! I was getting upset but I was doing everything the right way....enough protein and was walking daily so I just rode it out and today I lost 1.5 pounds! You are doing great! Just remember to use your pouch like you should and the scale will move! Sue 320/164/130

Crystal, I don't think you're doing ANYTHING wrong. All of us went through this month 4 plateau, most of us losing next to nothing for almost 3 weeks. I've lost 75 lbs. as well and my surgery was the day after yours. I think we're doing great! I do get frustrated sometimes, but it will come off in the end. You have to remember that some people have include weight that they lost prior to the surgery in their total weight. If I did that, I would be at 100 lbs. as well because I lost 25 prior to my surgery date. All that matters is that you stay the course and be positive! We have so much to be grateful for!!!! Take care and keep ing! Kerri

You are doing nothing wrong. Everyone is different and our bodies loose at different rates. I go for 2-3 weeks and loose nothing and then boom one morning I am down 5 or more pounds. I do loose inches when I am not losing weight though. I walk 4 miles 5 x a week and do water aerobics 3-4 times a week and bowl 1-2 x a week and chase grandkids everyday. I keep busy now where I use to sit and watch TV and eat all day. I eat between 600-800 calories a day, 70-100g protein, I keep the fat under 25g and the carbs 60 or less. Seems to work for me but you may have to adjust to fit your needs. No one is the same. I have gone from a size 26-28 to a 14 and XL's. I thank God everyday for this tool to do this. You will get there just try to let your body do the work and your head from stressing. Hard to do, I know I fear I will stop losing or gain but stress is part of the reason I got so large so I try my best not to STRESS!!!. I think you have done great. Just keep making little goals and you will get there. Hugs, Deloris 309/288/199/135

My surgery was also the day after yours and I am at exactly the same weight and havn't moved for 3 weeks now. I haven't even cheated once. So I know it is normal and should start to move again soon. Hang in there. Sara

Be encouraged- we all loose in various ways. Smile and know that you have come so far- and will go further. Keep up the great work!! Water and exercise are key- the downward spiral will resume VERY soon. Have a great one!!!

Wrong????? 75 pounds is fantastic! I really never hit a plateau, but it is coming off slower than for others. I am 55 lbs down. Just think where you would be if you hadn't had the surgery!!! I know I would be 25 lbs heavier than if I had the surgery,. My 54 lbs. is a miracle, and your 75 is as well. Keep doing the right things, try upping your protein to 100 g a day and add 10 minutes to your exercize. Heather 297h/238s/182.5c/125g lap RNY 6/13/05
