Oh Lisa Thank you SOOOOOOOOOOO much for posting this message, I have been B-A-D about the Halloween candy. I ate 6 fun-size candies yesterday!! I snacked on them all day. I haven't had any today, but for the past week or so I have been eating 1 or 3 everyday. It is so horrible, after yesterday I told myself "what are you doing, why did you have this drastic surgery if you are just going to snack on candy all day" so I haven't had any today, I am hoping to keep it that way. I really appreciate you posting this, it is helping me out to see your words, I am NOT going to eat anymore! I will throw it all away first. Tiff 247/178/125

I was going out to purchase cans of pop and mini chocolates for halloween but could not find any good deals on pop. Then I started thinking about the temptation of having pop in the house after halloween (we usually use it til xmas) - I know the chocolate would be gone - we bring it to work the very next day. SO I found the next best thing to hand out this year - POPcorn. the microwave kind. Some kids will be disappointed (they look forward to getting that can of pop) - but oh well - it will be healthier and can be shared when popped. That way if there is any left over it can be used when my hubby wants a bag - rather than feel like I want to eat or drink the leftovers... I am predicting 165 kids....anyone else got any good "non-candy" ideas? I am all ears...(or eyes in this case). Silly.

Oh do I know what you mean about the Pop!!! I had to take my son to an event over the weekend and he had to buy pop. We now have left overs in the fridge. It is killing me. I wish the kids would hurry up and get them gone. It's not going fast enough. I know that the pop is my major weakness. I just have to remember that is what put me where I am now and to stay FAR FAR FAR away!!! Have a wonderful Halloween all! Shelley

I just bought little dum dum suckers, something I'd never eat. I won't have many kids, I live in a downtown Minneapolis apartment building. The suckers can be around if the kids don't come for whoever wants them, I'll never eat them... I don't even let chocolate or other sugary treats in the house. Too tempting. I am sworn off sugar!! Once I start, I will never stop. If I don't start, I hardly miss it. It seems that the sugar is sort of addictive. If I eat it, I think about it, if I don't, I don't care... Good luck everyone! And, Happy Halloween!! Jo

OH tiffany... I imagine your one of those that do not dump???that your able to eat those items. I have never tested the waters on dumping and wont ruin the holiday for the kids with me sick! (keeping me from tasting!) I do havea a chocolate peanut atkins bar if the cravings get more then i can handle! ITS all about having the right choices on hand i think THE OTHERS! sounds like ur doing good planning no POP! POPCORN is good and some of that wont harm your weight loss! GETTING lollipops that didnt temp you is another wonderful stratigy! ALL THE BEST ALL AND HAPPY HALLOWEEN! I will have all kinds of candies here even if i didnt buy any beign i have 3 trick or treaters! BUT i wont give in! (i hope) LISA 310/307/???

You know what? This surgery has been my dream come true! I am SURROUNDED by chocolates....all my favorites. I have some of those 2" baby hershey bars.....I tried two itty bitty squares...and felt awful afterwards. The taste wasn't even worth it. I am so thankful for that. Now that I tested the waters, I am not tempted even in the least! For YEARS I use to say "God, I wish I were allergic to chocolate" and it looks like my prayers have been answered. In my previous life, I would have eaten that candy ALLLLLL throughout the day....and snuck more at night. Halleluja! Those days are over!!! Pam

Lisa, Hun good post... ~hugs~ I was so worried about this so I went out and got the small bags (1oz) of chips to give out, I know I will have one tonight but hoping to bring the rest to work so I am not tempted. I know that I should stay away from these but there are times when I have 1 oz of something (chips) trying for the best kind (reduced fat cheese its) but if I totaly say no to myself I am worried that it will make things worse. I am not sure but just doing the best that I can. I know I could NOT have choc in the house and I have to admit that it has to be so much harder for the people with kids since they have all the candy around....... Well take care and have a great night ~hugs~ Debra P

PAMELA im so glad your so pleased with your surgery tool that you tasted and had no interest in the chocolates. IM not craving it...i havent touched one piece and my 3 kids have collected 3 big bags of goodies....I am so proud too of my surgery as noramlly i would be noshing the mini bars all day one after another never being satisfied.! DEBRA! chips was very clever! I too eat the lo fat and my favorites are the glennys ZEN chips as they have a nice amount of protein when i need a chip fix! HOW did your blood work go and your trip down to the island goo? plz let us know your results im sure your in wonderful health! WELL HOPE everyone stayed in control of the cravings during this first of many holidays ahead for us! LISA

Lisa, I'm so glad to see you are still doing very well! I, too, haven't had any food item with more than 8 grams of sugar per serving in it. I'm still telling myself I just can't. I don't want to know if I'll get sick or not. I'm doing too well to screw this up. I have had some sugar... but in the casual alcoholic beverage (margarita). Otherwise... no candy here! For the chocolate lovers out there... I found an 85% cocoa dark chocolate bar that is extremely rich. A little square which is super satisfying hardly has any sugar and is my sweet treat. It only has 4 g sugar. Good luck to everyone! Katie
