caffeine??
I guess pre-op I was pretty much a caffeine addict. Since surgery I have been mostly off caffeine, but a few days ago I had an unsweetned tea from Jack's. It was very good! They have the great ice that I like! Now I find myself going by and getting one every once in awhile. Is this really bad?

I think some would say Yes it is bad, but me personally I think as long as you do it in moderation I think its FINE!!! I haven't had caffine for about 6 mths up till a couple weeks ago when I had this DEEP craving for a cup of coffee. I tell ya that was the best D**n cup of coffee I've ever had I've only had about 4 cups since then!! I say as long as its not an every day thing ENJOY!!!!!!
Talk to ya soon,

I too started the caffeine thing again this month.
Keeping an eye on my cravings for other food in association with caffeine intake. I usually have a latte with sugar free vanilla - not even thinking last week to remind them for a caffeine free one, and they gave me the caffeine...boy was it good.
But then I noticed I felt the craving to eat a lot----I guess it is really an appetite stimulant.
I was careful - but I am going to continue to specify caffeine free - too scary of a feeling - I felt like the old me craving everything all the time....
i also have the occasional fat-free sf vanilla latte. i have heard a difference of opinion regarding caffeine being an appetite stimulant. i haven't noticed a difference in my appetite when i have it. but i have also heard that we should have 8 oz of water for every cup of coffee, so i try to do that!

Hi it is me Renee',
U/S Tea is my favorite. I do it with splenda. It is a real treat to me.
I normally do crystal light or water. My suregeon gave me the okay.
The tea only happens when I go out to eat. There are caffeine free tea options.
Everyone will have an opinion........ask the doctor.
Good luck to you!!!
