How much can you eat?

Thanks for the reply! I'm going to try the creamed minced beef. I like soft cooked eggs mixed with 1/4 c gravy. And it sits so well. I had 1/2 c grits with 1 over easy egg at work and it was great but when I found out that white cooked grits had 240 calories in it alone I flipped out. That put me over 1000 calories for the day and I had to eat minimum after breakfast.. the gravy has about 50 calories and tastes just as good. The only protein powder I really like is White Chocolate Strawberry Pro Delite from Susan's site advertized on this site. I mix it with 10 c cool whip and crushed ice. It is so so so good. The rest of my family wants me to make them for them as well. It is awesome! I still don't depend on meats for my protein. I get so sick of throwing up even if it is just foam and whatever I just ate. Every so often I try because it smells so good and I was always a meat and salad person. About a pound of meat at a sitting! Scary isn't it. How do you make your creamed minced beef? Is it the sliced beef you can buy in a small jar? Chipped Beef I think?

Buy about a pound of ground round. It has less fat, brown it with finely diced onion. You can use a teaspoon of olive oil but can also use pam and a non stick skillet..... Season with garlic salt. Sprinkle about a tablespoon of flour over the meat and stir until it is mixed and add about a cup of ho****er. Stir until it is thick and let simmer for a little while. You can eat it plain or over toast or mashed potato. In the Service they call it SOS but it does go down well. Make sure that the beef is broken apart so it is not too lumpy when you cook it........

Your not alone. I still can only eat about 1/3 cup of Chili and such. Almost all meat causes me pain. I just don't do carbs. If I try meat in gravy, I almost always eat about 2T. I wi**** was a little easier, but it's not. Eggs, a few bites. I certainly could not eat 1/2 chicken breast, even if I chew, chew chew. Sara

Hey there are 3 of us! I can eat a turkey meatball....maybe 1/2 of one any how......cheese and protein mix are my friends. I did try Smucker's natural peanut butter no sugar and had it on to fat free wheat thins....stayed down but had to run to the bathroom afterwards. I try not to eat carbs....which isn't hard because I don't like breads...I do miss my lean cuisine 5 cheese lasagna but my pouch doesn't like the noodles. Nice to hear I am not alone! Sue

It's diffrent from day to day for me. Somedays I can eat a lot and other days I can't eat much at all. I have been worried that I could eat too much from day one! My weight loss is also going slow, so I have wondered if I have a stretched stoma or something because I can gulp down half a water bottle at once that's 8oz. My doctor says thats o.k., but I still wonder!
