ANOTHER BAD WEEK...
i know the only thing i ever post about is no/slow weight loss. i keep reading on the main board how 4 months out is usually when you experience your first real plateau. I DON'T WANT TO!!!
i weigh everyday, typical scale junkie! i was 155 on sunday and now i am 156.2 this morning. not a huge deal, i know, but i want the scale to go down, not UP! i should be happy that i haven't had 2 or 3 week stalls. there has been only one week since surgery that i didn't lose anything at all. my average weeks are 2-3 lbs lost, the most i lose is 5 lbs. but i hate hate hate the NO-LB weeks and i don't want another one!!!
geez, got a tissue anyone? world's smallest violin? wanna come to my pity party??? i guess this is why they say not to weigh yourself everyday, huh?
hugs~mary jo

Ok, No more everyday scales. Measure yourself you lose inches too. I only weight at the doctors office. True I stop in and weight when I don't have an appt but that is not everyday. It will happen. The less you have to lose the more your body holds on and the slower you lose. Don't fret it will come off, it has no choice but to. I got up Tuesday to go bowling put on my outfit and had no butt. So I thought I will try a 16 on and it fit with room to spare. Yea, I like surprises and it was a surprise so down to the doctors office I went to weight and sure enough I was down to 210. The ups and downs in weight are due to body fluids intake of water if you don't get enough the body tries to hold on to what it has. If you pooped or not. Try to break the scale habit it just works on your head. I think you have done wonderful. Have a wonderful day. Hugs

MAY JO i truthfully know where your comeing from i weigh in every day and every day i want that drop in weight!
You have to remember to look at the entire picture that you have LOST sooo many lbs...and inches not just the one day or week that the scale is being stubborn. AS you see, and i doo too it eventually comes off and sometimes a little to much salt or other things cause us to not drop.
YOUR doing awesome and remember to focus on the entire picture not just the week without a loss. YOU are looseing at a nice steady pace
and you should be dancing!
Are you still having the tireds alot? personally that concerns me??? have they figured out why your having that. I would think with the new you you would be with much more energy.
Well BE strong and ill send the whooshie fairy your direction when im done with her...TOM is here day 3 so i know the next few days will make up for my recent creep!
GOOD LUCK, keep positive! YOUR body is adjusting
to the lbs gone and its all positive!
LISA!
((HUG))
i know you are right lisa. i am really happy with everything so far, but i do tend to let these days get me down. it just makes me feel like i am doing something wrong, ya know? well, i suppose i am! for example, i haven't eaten breakfast at all this week, so this morning i decided to have an egg and cheese omelet (only ate the cheese mostly) and see if that helps. also, i have probably been getting only 50-60oz of water a day, so i really have to concentrate on getting that # up. we shall see if that helps!
i do still feel tired a lot. boy, on the days the kids got football and cheerleading and i am at the field all day, i can come home and go to sleep at 7:30! i don't know why and i guess my labs came back ok from my 2 month appt because they never called me to say otherwise. it's not so much that i am always sleepy or anything, i guess i would say i just never feel rested. does that make sense?
PLEASEEEEEEEE send that fairy over here when you are done with her! i got to get my scale moving again....and we gotta get YOU into ONEderland!!!!!!
hugssssssssssss
HEY MARY JO ...just a thought but i know my regular PCP its my responsbility to phone and then the dr looks at the labs while i phone in otherwise they just get filed into my file. SO he requires me to phone.
NOW i do no my surgeon had me do the blood work before i came in, i had the script for the bloods before last appointment and have it to go before the next appointment at 6 months. JUSt a thought that it was put in ur file and not really looked at closely.
I guess too your long days would cause the drainage at days end...but i know i sleep way less and have far more energy. SO i concern a drop for you. YES its so easy to get focusing on a bad few days then our entire whole picutre. I do it alot myself. I am going to the gym and even bought a gazelle for days i dont go to the gym. I do eat crappy but i get in my proteins and liquids as best i can. I dont skip meals i get hungry, and i do eat about 6 mini meals a day. I can eat but no where near my old amounts and im makeing better choices.
THANKS i am 12 lbs away from wonderland but actually 2 lbs away from the big 100 marker which will be exiciting to make as well.
THANKS hang strong and email me anytime u
need to gab! THIS is a hard journey we are makeing.
HAVE you started working out any i know my surgeon wants that
big time for the days we are in maintenance that i made it a habit now.
Well got to run
talk later
bye
lisa
310/212/???
Nope no violins this week..mine is in the shop.
I am trying not to do the same thing. I stepped on the scale this morning and well..guess what! I am 2 lbs from onederland. It has been sooo slow for me (59lbs so far) and well I know I shouldn't be so upset over it and I really (I'm lying here) try to not get upset and just keep going but sometimes it bugs the hell out of me..( now that is the truth) I guess our minds are so much further than our bodies..and we want instant bodies that we love. No stretch marks, no flab just operate and the next week boom size 8. Well..back to reality land we go..(yes..well the dream was nice..i was in a white bikini) And I'm going to say it again not just for everyone else but for myself. We took how long to get big..it will take just as long for us to lose this weight. So on that note keep your head up, feet off the scale and begin to learn the fundamentals of eating correctly while we can. This is actually what we all should be working on. How to eat right. How to deal with stress, cravings, sweet tooths etc...
Hope that helps..it sure helped me.

Hi Mary Jo,
Hope you are doing a little better. There are a lot of ups and downs in this process aren't there?? I am so proud of what you have accomplished. You are doing so well. Try to concentrate on the positives. You are probably the smallest person on our board! Think of that!! It will be a long time before we are where you are. Keep your chin up, plateaus are normal with this process, no?? Hugs! Jo
Sorry for what you are going through, Mary jo.... Believe me, I know how you feel.... I was on a 3+ week "plateau" that only recently "broke"... although I have not seen much movement in the scale... at least it is some!!
Hang in there... up your protein and water a bit...and keep the faith! It WILL drop again soon!
{{{{{HUGS}}}}} to you, my friend!
Sandy
I too am addicted to the scale. I have gone to the bathroom in the middle of the night and got on the scale, even without my glasses I can see the scale light up. sick, sick sick. But I have to do it. I too have gotten on a slow go, but now that its not hot, the water is harder to get in. I just got my violin out and I can eat cheese with my whine. I am glad you guys are out there, You all make me feel better. hugs Marcia
