What is everyone eating?
I noticed you said on your daily foods you put 1 scoop of unflavored protein in your soup. What is that like? Which kind of protein do you use? Does it change the flavor of the soup? Do you add it after you heat the soup up? Lots of questions I know, but I'm having a hard time with protein drinks and wanted some other ideas. I haven't tried many unflavored ones yet, but the ones I did were nasty. Just wondered about yours. Thanks.
hi there, for my protein drinks I add a scoop of chocolate to decaf coffee in the morning with a little white powder creamer, tastes really great, If I whip it its like a fancy coffee from you know where. Also I use orange juice 4 oz and 2 scoops vanilla flavor protein powder blend with ice wa la orange julius. I also have used canned peaches or cranberry juice with vanilla and ice blend, great for the mornings, I make bean soup and add barley carrots. makes great lunches for a week. I also eat alot of yogurt.Some times I freeze the yogurt lite add to oj and powder. Drink on the way to work.I also eat vitimins and fiber choice and calcium chews for chewing snacks during the day.And chicken, chicken, chicken till I am ready to cluck. Its the challenge of getting it all in that is exciting. I treat it like a game I must win. Hope this helps. Marcia
I started not to post cuz I feel I don't do as well since Katrina, but here ya go...
I usually do one or 2 protein shakes a day. Usually whey protein, chocolate or vanilla. However someone sent me some Cinnamon Vanilla that was yummy, and I can't remember who made it.
I am eating a lot more nuts. I can tolerate sunflower seeds, peanuts, almonds, cashews, hazelnuts, brazil nuts, pecans, and pistachios. (yep usually buy mixed nuts) I probably eat about 1/4 cup a day.
I have chicken every day. Other foods I eat are salmon, talapia(but haven't been able to get it here since the hurricane), tuna, sliced turkey, cheese, turkey jurkey, chees tortellini, angel pasta w/ cheese melted on it, Michelina's lite meals, Philly Swirls, pickles, salad (finally) w/ regular dressing, Special K cereal, red beans and rice, eggs.
My bad habits now that I can tolerate sugar. Yep, and I hate that I know I can now. Ice cream sandwich and Caramel hershey kisses. Bad, I know.
I also drink atleast one cup of coffee a day. Usually SF French Vanilla Cafe decaf, or decaf Community Coffee, New Orleans Blend, decaf w/ SF hazelnut creamer in it. Also they have a new creamer, SF VAnilla Caramel.
I don't like Splenda packs, so I use sweet n low.
