Brittany, hun I had surgery on the 6th of June and I am down 75 lbs, I also look at myself and do not see the 75 lbs but knowing that my clothes have gone from the 30 - 18 is really good. I have to agree with Lisa, when I did my side by side pics it really made me see what I have lost. It is a great idea hun and I wish you the best. ~Hugs~ Debra P 285/211/125??

Brittany, It is so good for us to hear that others feel the same way. I posted a few days ago and had so many lovely replies letting me know that I am normal - whatever that is!! I think you are in that place where your brain needs to catch up with your body. The other night it got very hot here and I needed something cool to sleep in. I picked up a summer t-shirt that I purchased last May and wore through July. When I slipped it over my head and down my body, I was shocked at how baggy it was - in fact the Vneck hung so low that I couldn't wear it out if I wanted to. It was a really good reality check for my brain/body to acknowledge. Keep up your good work, and if necessary see a therapist to help your brain move forward. Bless you! Renee' in WI

Yes, yes, yes!!!! I feel the same thing. I will be 4 months out tomorrow. I still see me as me. I think the thing is that none of us ever wanted to see ourselves as BIg as we actually were, so now, that we are getting smaller, it's easier for us to believe that is how we looked all along. So the answer is pictures. I think that's the only way we can put things into perspective. Other than that, don't worry girl!! We all go through that! Treat yourself to a Kodak moment every now and then! Continued good luck to you!! Rossana 334/257

This may sound silly, but I dont have a mirror, well not a full length one anyway. I usually buy clothes and take them home and if they dont fit I bring them back or save them because the rate we lose, they will fit me soon enough. I have had people comment on how well I am looking, but sometimes I wonder if everyone notices because the ones I think would, dont say a word..But on the other hand some dont want to offend us by making us think that they must have really thought we look awful before, so they just dont say anything, but I am sure they notice. I am just happy with myself right now, so really I shouldnt think too much what others are thinking..I went from some 26's to 18's so for sure I must look different and you too..I dont worry about gaining yet, maybe later on when I can eat more, I might worry. But I dont now..Next time I go for my checkup I am going to look at the before and after pics and I bet I will see a huge difference. Have you tried that?

carla, are you eves dropping in my brain. I was just thinking the same thing yesterday. I still look the same to me, I don't feel anything really specially different. But when I needed some new pants I went to wall mart and didn't know where to shop, in what department. I'm so used to plus sizes. It was a shock to me to go from 22/24 lose 54 lbs and now a 14, I almost shouted out loud in the dressing room. I couldn't be leave it. wow, I went through so many sizes and tried on so many. I guess I still am in shock. I think we all see ourselves as fat in the mirror and I think we need to do the pictures thing.great idea.marcia
