My RNY was 4/16. How was your surgery? Would love to get an update. I just updated my profile with my details but thought I would check on how you were doing. Looking for friends with a date near mine so we can share experiences. Kim

I had RNY on 4/16. The best thing a nurse told me was to take chewable GASX with discomfort or if I felt sick. She said it relieves all the feelings of sickness. I have taken it now for the last four days and havent taken pain meds since! I haven't vomited once! I truly believe its due to the GASx! I would love to add you guys as friends so we can share our progress since our dates about the same.

I was told to take Biotin once a day. I started it two weeks preop and am now 7 days post op. My friends that are about a year post op all swear by it! Its about $6 at Walmart.

I am 7 days post oo (RNY) today!! Try chewable Gas X. I thought I was a bit sick to my stomach as I was leaving the hospital and the nurse told me that alot of the time is the pressure. The GasX worked great. I take it when I start to feel "funny". I even stopped my pain meds as the Gasx relieved all the discomfort! I have been for a car ride the last two days and took Gasx before and was completely fine. Plan to take it again tomorrow before my 2 hour drive back for my followup. I have not vomited once! Try it! It really worked for me.

Hi Cat, thanks for the nice message, I'm feeling much better thanks 10 days down the line and i've no regrets, first few days I was a bit sore but that soon passed, cant quite believe how little I can eat and feel full, I gave going down the surgery route a great deal of consideration for a long time but i couldn't keep going the way I was and i've got 2 little ones, 3yrs and 9 months and I felt the deserved a mum who could take them swimming !!!! I'd be happy to answer any of your questions and keep in touch. Gill
