Topic: RE: Favorite Things To Eat
My tastes have changed dramatically since surgery. Do not know why but they sure have. I eat tuna almost everyday. There are only two things that I crave iced tea (drink about 1200 ml a day) and salad which I cant have yet. Here lately though I have been wanting an iced frappacino from Starbucks - I haven't given in though.

Isn't it great! I've been making spaghetti squash for years.. Just love it. I usually toss with a little good quality extra olive oil, fresh basil, and parmesan cheese. Yum! I still eat regular pasta too though. My surgeon is fine with it as long as we are getting in our protein first.
Topic: RE: 90 LBS. gone ~~~FINALLY
YAY!!!
I too am finally getting somewhere!! I know how ya feel. Seems like it took FOREVER to lose 97 pounds. But hear I am knocking on the Century door!!! I usually weigh once a week, but I don't know if I will be able to wait and see in the middle of the week if I hit 100!!! LOL I set my goal at 125 by Christmas. Right now, it seems doable, but if I hit another plateau??? And I have ALOT further to go than 65 pounds to reach my goal.
More like 196 pounds. OMG!! Sometimes, that seems so daunting, but somedays, I think I'll be there in NO time!! LOL
Good luck and I'll be watchin fer ya!!

Topic: Who had a WOW moment(s) this week?
Hello Everyone,
I hope everyone had a good weekend and has a wonderful week. I was supposed to go back to work Saturday but, have been home sick. Nothing like getting a vacation after a vacation!
My biggest WOW moment was fitting in the plane sit which I posted about previously. And my other WOW moment would have to be finally getting out of the 190's. I lost 6 lbs last week and 5 this week. I attribute it to being sick but, hey it was a good loss and that's what counts.
So, who had a WOW moment(s) this week? Please share them with us as this encourages everyone to keep on moving on.
Have a great day!
Gina

Topic: A solution to Spagetti
Hey there everyone! I would have just responded to the variety post below, but I wasn't sure if anyone would see it, since it's a few days old. I've found the BEST substitution for Pasta. Now, I LOVE pasta! I mean, BIG TIME! But it doesn't settle in my pouch... at all! So, I had to find something else.
SPAGETTI SQUASH!
It's SO good! Get a medium one, cut it in half. You can bake is (45-55 min, opening side down in the pan), or even microwave it! Whichever way you choose... cook it until the outside hull is soft enough that you can stick a fork in it. Use the fork to pull out the insides. It strings like spagetti! But it's a veggie and doesn't have all of the carbs and the heaviness of spagetti!
I've made it with chinese veggies/chicken/low carb teriyaki, with Tomato and Meat Sauce, and with Cheese... and all have been great!
Happy cooking
Michelle

Believe it or not, I have pepper jack cheese on crackers almost everyday, carb freedom yogurt, and adkins protein shakes, but the thing that I really want, and should not have is starbucks double shot in the can.
