So are you getting out of Dodge for the storm? We tried to make a reservation, just in case, and had to make one way off in Tennessee.

Yummmmmmm!!! I love spaghetti squash!! I'd take it over pasta spaghetti any day! It's sweeter and doesn't have the smooshy texture that pasta has. LOVE IT!!!

FTR, I've read lots of exercise experts saying that what is important is how much you exercise *in a day* rather than in a session and that breaking it up may actually be more effective. So you can most likely do 2 45-min sessions instead of one hour and a half session. I'm doing about an hour a day now bin the afternoons but I'm going to be adding a morning workout too next week to try and get this weight loss going faster. I'm only averaging 2-3 pounds a week. I'd like to be more like 5 pounds a week. I'm going to start off just doing Yoga or Pilates in the AM...nothing too intense, just to get into the habit...and then switch it up to like power yoga some days and more cardio other days.

Hello Anjail, Wow ! you are doing great! By the way I had my surgery on April 18th also! I don't know if you read my post on my update just before this post. But I just had my 5-6 month checkup with my surgeon yesterday. What Dr. Searles said to me was to up my excerise and to get to my next goal I would have to do at least a hour and half of excerise per day, he said that is walking or swimming 1 1/2 hours non-stop ... I looked at him and laughed. So today I walked as far as I could and I made it about a mile and half in 25 minutes and had to rest I was tired out my legs could not handle it any longer. I had to find a place to sit down and rest for 15 minutes. So I am looking at going to the local high school swimming pool and doing lap swim and aerobic swimming a couple times a week. Do give up .... I had a stall out last month and I actually started adding a extra snack in my diet and it took off again. I have to note it was peanut butter and crackers just before bed time....LoL. I get the Adam's natural peanutbutter that doesn't have any extra sugar and its in its own peanut oil. and dab some on a Ritz cracker or two. Yummy! Take care, Tom

Thanks you all for the replies, you all are doing great I have to add. I tried to walk for an hour today and I made it for about 25 minutes and went about 1.5 miles, not bad for me. It going to get easier the more I do it but thats the thing to remind myself to get out and do it every day. I can feel winter in the air here in Alaska now today... Its was nice and sunny but it was only 50 degrees out.... So it nice to get out and walk and not be so sweaty as it is in June and July when its in the 70's and 80's .... I figure when winter hits I will go walk in the local shopping mall. Thanks again for all the support... Take care. Tom.
