Topic: OK NOT FUNNY NOW
Hi everyone. Please dont roll your eyes cos Im moaning again but I need your help. I dont get to spend as much time on this board as I would like cos I try to answer as many posts on the main board as I can. Anyway, I have come here and read your posts tonight and I cannot believe how many of you have lost 100 lbs or there about in the same time it has taken me to lose 48. I have not had a drop in over 6 weeks. Please please dont tell me to be patient, I was 296, so I wasnt a light weight. Those of you who have had these huge weight losses , I am so thrilled for you all, believe me, but can you put yourself in my shoes and try to imagine if you had only lost half of what you have? I dont know what to do. I have never had any week since this started that I had a big loss. Some people say they dont lose any for weeks then they lost 5 or so pounds, not me. Before I hit this plateau I was going slow, but still going, maybe a pound a week. Im glad Ive lost 48lbs but only just managing to not break down and cry here. Please all help me, because I want to hit a hundred by Xmas. I cant see any way that can possibly happen because the first 6 months should be the fastest and that has not been what I had hoped. Any words of advice would be appreciated.

Topic: RE: Poll: How much have you lost?
I've lost 80lbs and can't seem to lose any in the last few weeks...I am so scared I won't lose anymore?!?! I feel like a failure. I had surgery on April 1, started at 310 and now stuck at 230...I still need to lose AT LEAST 60 more before I'll be even close to happy...I think a "real goal" for my height is supposed to be 140-150...I'll take 160!
I am so depressed...

I get up a little earlier and walk 2 miles or when I don't do that I work out to Slim in 6 DVD. I am not much of a gym person so this is what keeps me exercising. Wishing u luck!!!
Topic: RE: Calling All April Loser
Your not alone Anjail! The first few months were unreal with the weight just dripping off - not anymore. For the last 4-5 weeks I have bounced around in the same 4-5 pound range - first down, then up, then down, then back up. IT IS DRIVING ME CRAZY.
The good news though is that I am still losing inches. I have had to stop getting on the scale so much because it is too frustrating. The more frustrated I get - the more I give up.
I've had several long periods of no weight loss - from what I hear - this is completely normal. I am not sure where you are it to your goal - I guess this is normal the closer we get to goal. I only have 30 more lbs to go!
Stay strong - this too shall pass!!

ok, another late comer, coming in here.
I had my surgery on APRIL 5,2005.
Start weight: 400
Current weight : 309
total lost- -91#s
I'm on a plateau right now and it stinks.. first one I've been on since my surgery.. so I guess I should be grateful..

we all have such an attitude of being a failure. but look how much we have lost. that is hardly failure. even if our bodies said enough right now how much better and healthier we are. plateaus are a natural part of weigth loss. maybe it is our bodies teaching us how to maintain our weight loss. during that time do you still diet, exercise, drink, ? feel good with what you have accomplished. you are not a failure.
you may not be perfect.(but we are not suppose to be), but you are not a failure. God lov ya. and hang in there.
Topic: RE: Exersize?
you can get exercise tapes from the library. walk, walk walk, ever try it in the dark? i have five kids and they are all busy with sports and school, i know it is hard, but this is very important. time to put yourself first.
i exercise longer on the weekend. quick bits during the week. they say 15-20 mins at a time is good.
