What a great idea, Montego! 6 months seems to be a good milestone to see how everyone is doing. Everything has gone pretty smoothly for me. My starting weight was 335 and I'm at 217 right now - total loss of 118lbs. I've gone from a size 28 to a 14/16 and I feel like a million bucks! All my bloodwork is normal except low potassium which I'm taking supplements for. I don't always get 64 oz of water in each day or exercise as often as I should. Nobody is perfect - I do my best and take it one day at a time. Guzzling water before bed just isn't the answer for me lol It's good to see everyone is doing pretty great! Nicole

I had surgery March 26. I weighed 339 on that date, my highest weight was 355. I am now down to 253 which is a total of 102 lbs. I go for my 6 month check up on Friday. I do pretty good getting my protien and water in and all my supplements. I am walking 2 to 2 1/2 miles on the weekends and I power walk 1/2 mile during the week. I started out in a size 4x to 5x and now I wear a 1x. I am so thankful I had this surgery.

Congrats on your wt. loss thus far, you are doing great. I am in the same boat as you in that my wt. loss is very slow too but I know why. It sounds like you are doing great with the exercising and that you are most likely shaping your body and dropping sizes but the scale doesn't show it as much as you wi****hink you and I are going to be just fine in the long run but it is not going to come as easy as we wish. Just remember, we are all different and our metabolisms are different so the weight loss may take longer to come off but it will STAY off and that's the ultimate goal. God Bless and much LOVE big sis

I had surgery on 3/13 and then had complications and another surgery on 4/2 when I eviscerated myself. My family laughs about me coughing my guts out, but I too survived it. Spent 4 weeks in hospital and now have a big hernia named Babbette. I now look like I am 9 months pregnant instead of fat I can not do much exercising other then walking because of dear Babbette, but I started my journey Last July at 360. Surgery at 333. Present time 239 Goal 150 Again because of Babbette I have no idea what size I wear. To get anything over her I am in a 1x and that is tight over tummy and hangs everywhere else. But I need to wait until next year for repair. I will have excess tummy skin removed at the same time I am not shopping for anything more then necessities right now, and fortunately I do not work so a couple of pair of jeans and t's do just fine. I should have done this years ago!

Congratulations!!! I had surgery on 3/13. I had some complications and spent a little time in the I.C.U., but I bounced back quickly! I have lost 70 pounds, from 220 to 150. (One more ounce to lose to get into the 140s!) I have gone from a size 18/20 to a 8/10. In fact, today is a milestone for me. I am wearing a pair of size 8 pants at work. That's right - single digit pants!! I exercise (running 2-3 miles). I do okay on my vitamins and I have no idea how much protein I eat as I don't keep track. However, I feel great so I must be doing something right.
