Topic: MARCHers to Goal!
It's easy to say 'no!' when there's a deeper 'yes!' burning inside... Stephen R. Covey Can you say "NO" today? You know - NO to those bad things...that little extra snack, those "wicked" bad carbs...can you say no because you know there is a deeper "YES" burning deep inside of you. You want to get to goal, you want to maintain, you want that hour glass figure (well maybe not Rick!)....well - you have to say NO to the bad things to get to that goal. Now there are a few things you have to say YES to today and you know what they are - YES - to all your vitamins today....YES...to lots of water today....YES to protein first and of course YES to exercise. Don't say NO to any of those and that burning yearning inside will be a reality! On a lighter note...GO Patriots on Sunday! But if you are a Packers, Giants, or Chargers fan - then GO for your team...although I hate to tell you that the "Perfect Patriots" are going the distance this year so you might as well yell for them...Don't say NO to the Pats!!!! Also, our very own Stephanie Smiles will be doing the motivational posts next week so we look forward to her words of wisdom! Happy weekend everybody and hugs to all...Barbara

Hi, the elliptical is going good. I'm glad we got it. I get on it each night, some nights longer than others. It is tough and some nights it just kicks your butt right off and I can't seem to do more than 10 minutes at one time. so I'll do 2 or 3 times at 10 mins. The other night for some reason I was able to just go and go and did about 25 minutes straight!! I surprised myself. It has helped with the weight. For months now I have been staying between 172 and 175, I've finally been able to stay at 171 or 172. So that is great to me!

B: 1 packet of organic oatmeal w/ 5 almonds crushed, cinnamon, and 2 oz. soy milk. Coffee. Mid morn: Protein shake, 10 almonds Lunch: 5 oz. tuna / split into three romaine lettuce leafs for wraps. Throughout afternoon: 1 bag of mini pretzels, protein shake, 10 almonds, 2 mini cucumbers and about 7 grape tomatoes Dinner: Salad, cup of chili. One set of vitamins to go, about 40 oz of water. Been really busy at work this time of year. I work in HR, so it's appraisal time. We have account executives, lots of managers and employees, and they all get different types of appraisals, so lots to keep track of, so keeps me busy. I just want to munch when doing this stuff so have been going for those mini pretzels. I guess its not that bad, about 160 calories and its' the only bread type carbs I eat, so i guess not that bad, just feel guilty for having them. LOL But Im doing ok, the weight has been staying down in the low 170's instead of hitting and staying at the 173 to 175 range. I'm at 171 now and working at getting back to 169. I want to get to the low 160's and stay there a while if I need to hold at a number. I keep plugging away.

I'm as happy as one can be when one is about to go into an ALL DAY training session! I have tons of work to do but won't touch it today due to the training. I hope it's worth it! Today I'm going to focus on drinking lots of water and enjoying my spinning class this evening. And, I won't eat pasta for lunch like I did yesterday! Have a happy day! Hugs, Stephanie
