Wowless...
Hi Darlene
I hate to say this because when people finally started to notice that I had lost weight they asked how much I had lost and when I said 70 lbs they would be speechless for a few seconds because they had no idea it was that much because they just didnt see it. I had lost over 60 lbs before I needed to go down a pant size, but even now (95 LBS. lighter) I can still wear a couple of my stretch material capris. It seems like since I got past the 250 mark the weightloss has shown much more dramatically. Hopefully it will for you to soon.

Darlene,
I feel your pain in more ways than one. You notice I haven't posted a "Wow" monent either. I was just thinking today that I would REALLY like to have a Wow moment. I've loss almost 50 lbs. I think it all came off my face and boobs. Great... now I can't hide my fat stomach under my flat boobs. That Wow moment better happen fast!
My period is also whacked out. It WAS like yours before surgery. I actually stayed home the first two days because my period was so heavy I'd get light headed when I got up. More than once my husband wanted to take me to the ER because he thought I was bleeding to death. NOW, I've traded the heavy flow for two weeks of PMS (instead of 2-3 days) and a longer and longer time frame between them. Most wouldn't care about that, but because of my history of heavy flows, I like to plan my life around NOT bleeding on everyone.
Having vented all of that, I guess I just wanted to say... You aren't the only Wowless one amongst the Marchers. I'm right there with you. Somethings gotta give!

It's nice to know Im not the only one who feels this way.
Im not sure what Im gonna do about the period... I think Im gonna take the Nuva Ring out tonight, and go buy some condoms and just take a break for a little while.... Im supposed to see my OBGYN next week, but I may have to cancel because of my trip...

Keep hanging in there Darlene. Bad days happen to everyone and sweet hubbies can make up for even the worst days.
People that I see every day don't often comment on my weight loss either. In fact, they occasionally comment when the scale hasn't moved! It's the weirdest thing.
Feel free to vent anytime. That's what we are here for...to listen and encourage.
Hugs, Stephanie
Don't worry Darlene, I have a feeling that soon you'll be having lots of WOW moments. You have lost alot of weight and it's going to really show and then watch out! The compliments will be coming left and right! You're doing a fantastic job, just remember that. Keep up the good work, we're all behind you and it's going to happen!!
Bless your heart Darlene....you have a lot on your plate right now. People you see everyday I don't think realize your drastic weight loss because they are used to seeing you everyday! I just went back to TN a couple of weeks ago for a wedding of my dear friend's daughter - it was a mixed occasion for me. Lots of my friends I had not seen in 6 years were amazed at my weight loss and I on the other hand was amazed at how "old" everyone was looking after 6 years. I am sure they thought I was getting older looking also, but no one mentioned it, nor did I! People are funny - some people are slow to give out compliments and some people only give out negative comments and then there are some that are truly wonderful and flow freely with the compliments! You and EJ have each other to be proud of and thank goodness you have a wonderful hubby who is free with his positive comments. So sometimes when we get down, we truly need to focus on all the positive things that are happening in our lives. You are young, all this weight loss will hopefully help with producing your first child and many more if you want them!!!! Think about how lucky you are to be losing so fast and getting so healthy and having such a wonderful hubby! As for the hormonal thing...I am fortunate in that "Aunt Flo" has left my body! I don't want you to be 55 yet, but when you get there - it is wonderful - not to have her around anymore and not having to worry about birth control! So always come here to vent because we can all understand and sympathize with you!!! And know you are LOOKING GOOD! Barbara
Hey Darlene,
You're not alone. I feel fat sometimes too and I have a hard time seeing that I'm accomplishing anything. But 76 lbs is a great accomplishment! Here is a WOW for you...I checked your profile, and going by the lowest weight listed there, your BMI is now under 40. You are no longer morbidly obese. That is a super-fabulous WOW.
Take care,
Cathe
