I DID IT

Well I made it through my surgery with NO complications. I am 2wks post-op and I feel GREAT!!! I have not had a surgery that went so smooth. It was easier than my back surgery. I have to Highly recommend my surgeon Dr. Barba in Hartford Ct. He was so nice to talk to and he did and awesome job. He put my anxiety to rest and for good reason. Anyone who has questions can ask. I have lost 25lbs since my surgery and it just keeps coming off. I am so excited to be starting a new life.

Good news!!! I am also happy i am not losing like alot of others here but thats OK.. I started out at 231pds and now down 21pds in about 23 days so I cant complain. I did lose 10 pds before surgery too. Best of luck to you...... Janice

Congratulations on an awesome weight loss sharon!! I am with you both! The recovery was a cake walk~thought I would be in pain for a long time....not....been up and about since the day I came home from the hospital. Have interesting bouts with gas (which I never had before!) but that is nothing! I am a slow loser inspite of my excercise and stuff....You keep me encouraged Janice...Thanks! I am 22 days and have lost 23 pds. Somedays I find this hard....I am always trying to blame myself for eating to much, not enough, not enough excercise...blah, blah, blah. The truth is, I feel clueless if I am doing this right! I am trying though and eating better than I ever have so hey...THAT counts for something right?? Congratulations. I am just a week post op but had the same experience. This surgery was a breeze. Decided not to weigh until my 2 week check. Keep up your good work and excellent attitude. Alison

Congratulations, Sharon! Glad it's going easy for you. The first month you can lose a humongous amount of weight (four weeks and I've lost 46 lbs) and it is just so much fun!
