Happy but sad......weight loss
Okay, I went to the weight loss planner and I agree with the person who said that thing can seriously depress you. I was feeling fine until I looked up what I should weigh 4 months out. I currently weigh 210, I started at 260, the planner says I should weight 195 now- I am way off! I do all that I am supposed too and I feel great at this point, I am still happy with this accomplishment. Being a size 18 is better then being a size 26 anyday!
Donna,
I read all the other posts to your question and no one has said any
thing about the amount of calories your taking in. If youtake in more
than you are burning during the day, You won't lose. Cut back on what
your eating, try and only eat three times a day. Most doc's don't put
you that stricked of a diet. Our only has us eat 3 meal a day and no snacking in between. I t works for me. I have lost 85 lbs since 3/15
Our meals are also only 4 oz at a time. Try changing you habits a little
and see what happens. Hang in there!! Just remember thats 40 lbs you
don't have to fight with anymore.

My doctor said to take in 1000 cal and only been able to do that one time.......I eat 2 oz of chicken for a meal........I try to do that 3 times a day....then a cib, 3 crackers.........and 64oz of water......they want us to have 3 meals a day plus snacks......I can't eat 4oz of anything at one time.......2-2-1/2 is hard..... so are you saying I should keep my cal lower I usually get between 700-800 on a good day or lower...........and oh ya I have lost 57lbs since surgery and 20 right before total 77
Ladies, a lot of us are right there together. I had my surgery 3/29/94, and as of this morning, I've lost 57 pounds. I can't believe that I lost two pounds this week, as it's PMS week, plus I'm on prednisone for a pulled muscle, but hey! I'll take it.
The key to boosting weight loss or to get off of a plateau, according to my dietitian, is to increase your activity, drink 48-64 oz. of decaf fluids daily, and make sure you get your protein in (64 grams). Also, stick to your eating plan! Cheating only slows down your progress.
HTH, and remember, we're all in this together!
Hugs,

I have to say, I've got to get my act together or I will not be ultimately successful. I'm just under five months out and have lost 50.5 pounds. Very good, but on average it's been a slow and small loss.
I don't exercise at all yet, I don't take in enough protein (I'm veggie so it's tough), and I know I'm not getting enough water! I have been struggling with some other issues which have kind of taken up a lot of my mental focus and drained me for much else, but I have to stop using that as an excuse.
As far as this 50 pound loss goes, it has been utterly effortless. I know I'm at the point where it's going to start getting tougher, so don't fear! We're all in this together!
