HI everyone, This is a bit embarrasing but also puzzling to me. I had a c section in 98 and of course I have that scar across my very lower abdomen above the womanly area anyways I noticed throught the years that it would itch a little but nothing bad at all... I had ALOT of weight on there so the "roll" was alot bigger!!! now that I have lost all this weight it is ALOT smaller and for some reason it is itching like crazy and I have a rash there!!! I dont understand it. I would think it would've gotten better. Anyone else experiencing rashes even though the "rolls" have gotten smaller yet they are suddenly appearing? This sucks. but its still nice to be so much smaller! Elizabeth M

Elizabeth if you are thinking about plastics take pictures of it and call the dr and have them give you some cream for it and make sure they document it. If not then if yo uwill wash very well then blowdry the area it will probably go away in a day or so. I used to get these all the time. LaRHonda

ooo good idea about the pictures!!! Thanks! yeah I am trying to keep it super clean and dry... I've been using baby powder on it to keep all moisture away and that seems to be helping. Better take a pic tonight for assurance and call the doctor and have her document it. Elizabeth M

yes! do document all rashes and such! I have had 4 c-sections and know about this yeasty rash under the tummy. It can be painful and most irratating. I use feminine powder from walmart and it keeps it at bay..but I cannot skip even one day of using it. Baby powder irratated it for me...probably the perfumes in it or something. Try something like the summers eve powder. Sue in the rockies

I get the rashes sometimes as well. Have had it since surgery. In the past I have used anti-fungual spray like Tinactin to keep it at bay which is used mainly for athletes foot. The spray that leaves a powder has done the best for me. Baby powder and corn starch will keep it dry as well.

Hey there, Do not use baby powder, but a medicated powder, like gold bond baby, or medicated corn starch by johnson & johnson. Mine cleared up in a day or two. jennifer

The rash you are describing is probably a fungus - very common in obese folks. Use an athletes foot medicine on it and that should clear it up in a few days. Use the liquid not the powder. Louise

I heard that corn starch feeds yeast so if you use a corn starch base powder, you will actually make the rash worse. What I use is antipersperant/deoderant. I never get that rash anymore now that I use it. Of course, if I forget, it starts again. It is totally related to the sweating of that area.
