What are you eating?
Morning Marchers!
I was thinking on the way into work this morning about what I'm actually able to eat (or keep down, better put). By the way, I always think of things to post while I'm driving, then forget about it by the time I get to the computer again!
I'm wondering if anyone else is eating similarly to me, or if I'm a little behind. My doctor has ordered an upper GI to rule out a stricture, which may be some of my issue, but I'm thinking that maybe I'm just readjusting a little slower than most. I'm thinking the only reason that I'm a little ahead of where I think I should be weight-loss wise is because I'm able to keep very small amounts down, if I keep it down at all. Here's what I CAN eat (drink):
Milk
Cheese (just cheddar and swiss so far!)
Crackers
Baked Tortilla Chips
Fat Free Pretzels
Rice (tiny bit at a time)
Cream of Soups
Chicken (two bites MAX)
Steak (tiny bites)
Scallops (two at a time, every ten minutes or so)
Shrimp (1 every ten minutes or so)
Lunchmeat Ham/Turkey
Tomatoes (fresh only)
Lettuce (two bites max)
Cucumber (without skin)
Things I CANNOT eat:
tomato sauce
pasta
bread/pita/tortilla
fried anything
butter
ground beef
peanut butter
Anyone else similar or have any ideas. I'm mentally STARVING to death trying to get protien in every day, and it's not going so well.
Thanks!

Kim,
I have a few foods on my can't keep down list:
hamburger
beef in general
pork
salad
I try and concentrate on protein. I usually get 80- 100 grams in a day.
I had 2 stricture episodes with EGD's and stretchings. The second one has worked well for me. It's been 2 months and I can eat most things. When I was having that stricture problem even water came back up. I could only hold 2 oz an hour of liquids. It was the pits.
Hope you find the problem soon.
Shelly
