I turned a corner

WOW is all I can say. Yesterday I came out of the gym, and for the first time in my life, the whole way home I was thinking about the next time. I'm actually beginning to enjoy it!!! I NEVER thought I'd say that. I'm actually at the gym with a physical therapist - my doc believes in starting this way since I began over 300. This way I can get the core muscles strengthened before going nuts and getting hurt. Anyway, my therapist started me on the eliptical last week - it was tough - she put me down for 10 minutes, but I had to stop at 8. Well, yesterday I did the 10 minutes, and am looking forward to more. I am just amazed that this surgery has changed my attitude towards soooo much. I can't even say how thankful I am to my doc and all you guys for the support. My life, and my 7 year old's life, has changed so much for the better. Saturday I took her to the Philly zoo. In the past, we would go see an animal and mommy would sit - then we'd go see another animal and mommy would sit - you get the idea. Well on Saturday we started at 10am, stopped for lunch around 12:30, and didn't leave until 4. The only sitting for me was during lunch. We got to see so much more than we usually do, and we both had a great time. I'm planning a big Disney vacation for next summer to celebrate my weight loss. I will be able to take my daughter on the roller coasters for the 1st time, and she loves them. I'll be able to fit in all the rides, and won't have to deal with any weight or size limitations. And, I'll be able to walk all day. My daughter will be 8 by then, and I think she may have a hard time keeping up with me (and she is pure muscle)!! I hope everyone is planning on treating themselves in some way to celebrate your accomplishment. We all deserve it!!! mgm -70.5
