Does this happen to anyone else?

PMS always gives me about a 2-week plateau. Then I normally feel like total crap for a few days (exhausted, achy). Following the crappy-feeling days, I always lose about 10 lbs. in a week or two. Does anyone else lose weight like this? Or am I just weird?

Hey! Yep! I cycle in and out of my weight loss right along with my cycle. Thrills a minute ain't it!! For two weeks I'll loss a pound to half a pound a day, then once I ovulate nada for two weeks! I've read of several, especially on the main board, talk of this tie to our cycles. Happy thoughts, Va Was/Am/Wannabe 232/171/130

I'm exactly the same way, except I acutally gain. I'm pre-menstral right now and I've gone from 145 to 148 and It has stayed the same for about a week now. I havent even started my period which is coming any day now and will keep me at 148 until its over, and then when Its over I will loose just like you said about 10 pounds LOL. I have been really tired too, taking a nap around 6 in the evening and waking up at 9 which will make me stay up all night, *sigh* this is crazy! ~Nicole

My cycles affect my weight loss too but I'm not as lucky as you. I usually gain two pounds then hold for like three or four days then I get to have my lovely period then if things go according to 'plan' I will lose those two and another three. That's it, that's all. And then to make things fun and interesting for the last 2.5 to 3 weeks I've been on a plateau. I waited with baited breath for my weight to reach 264 so that my drivers license would finally be right... and it's been right (up or down one or two pounds) since. I guess I shouldn't have been so damn happy to see 264!!!! Well, since I'm getting ready for another 'visit' within the next week an a half (lucky me I've never been regular so I can only guess!) maybe this will be my lucky month. Right???? You are not alone on this one. I am on the same trip. I will lose anywhere from 10-15 lbs. just after my period. However, I will not lose for the other two and a half weeks. It is very frustrating.(sp?) Anyway, I will be in prayer for you as well as myself and everyone else on this one. I was thinking there for a while I was the only one. It was nice to find I wasn't. Whew! I'm glad I'm not alone. The others I talk to with the DS are losing steadily, 1 lb. per day or every other day. I am constantly on a plateau or losing 2-3 lbs per day for a week! Guess we're just different. Nothing wrong with that, as long as the lbs. disappear!

I am sooo freakin' happy to read that I am "normal"!!! This whole period makes me feel like a 2 steps forward 3 steps back kind of motion. Karla 215/160/135???

I am so thankful to find that I am not alone in this department. Weird how our hormones play a part in weight loss.
