Just curious about everyone's weightloss (those of us that had our surgeries in March 2004) and what you ate for breakfast, lunch, and dinner yesterday. Thanks for your time, Deb open RNY 3/5/04 357/281/150 -76

Unfortunately I am one of those very very slow losers. I had surgery on the 16 of March and to date have only lost a measly 34 pounds. Since Jan 04 I have lost 44 pounds. Some days it is so hard to stay positive when I see all the other Marchers passing me by so very quickly.

Marcy, Don't feel bad about losing slow. When I talked to my surgeon about being a slow loser, he said he didn't want me to compete with anyone, including myself, he said just follow what I and the nutritionist tell you and you will lose weight, maybe a little slower, but it will come off. At the last support meeting I went to, they talked about everyone being different, the team does not even set a goal for us, they said that is just a number, and we have to do what is right for us, individually. Take care and hang in there, and the weight will come off. Betty

Well said, my angel! We are indeed individuals with different backgrounds, different metabolisms and different surgeries. But we are all doing so much better than we were 6 months ago! Joy

Hi Joy, Haven't been around too much lately, doing a little lurking, but that's about it. The weight is coming off slow, but it is coming off. The inches are coming off much faster. I am now in a 12-14 size, WoooHooo. Can't quite figure it all out, but I'll take it!! Betty
