Checked my BMI today
When I started this journey I was at 54.9 (330 lbs).
At surgery time I was 51.8 (311 > loss of 19)
I was in the super obese category.
I'm now at 41.4 (249 > loss of 81 from the start and 62 since surgery) - in the morbidly obese category.
ONLY 9 LBS TO GO before I move into the Severly Obese Category - wooohooo - isn't amazing how it can be so exciting to be called severely obese
I was stopped today by my old boss from about 4-5 years ago. She said it looked like I was losing weight and asked how much. I almost had to pick her up from the floor. She's a wonderful person and was very excited for me. While it's really nice to hear from people how good I'm looking, it's especially great when someone who had no idea about the surgery notices and says something.
mgm

I guess we are on the same wavelength. I did this last week too and was shocked to see that I had gone from a BMI of 57.5 at my heaviest (385 about a year ago) to 49.9 at time of surgery on 3-8-04 (338), to 39.9 now (270). I have moved from Super Obese, past Morbidly Obese and I've just squeaked into the category of Severely Obese. You're right, it is a little weird to be so happy about being JUST Severely Obese, but I am darned excited!
Big Cheers to us all!!! YAY!
