I had my surgery 3/24/04 - so by my calculations I am 3 months out - right???? I went to the weight loss planner and it says that by now I should have at least lost 61 lbs and for me it's only been 56lbs. I am not complaining and I know that the weight loss planner is not 100% accurate because not everyone is the same but I just wanted to know......How much weight have you lost since your surgery in march? I started at 255lbs and I am 5'4. Edna

I think you are doing just great. My surgery was 3/16, so I'm 3.5 months out and I've lost 62 lbs. I started at 311 and am 5'5". mgm

I had my surgery 3/22 .. as of June 24 I had lost 43 pounds .. I started at 272 and I am 5 2 1/2. I am trying very hard not to buy into comparing my weight loss to others, because any number of factors could be different and I will be setting myself up for disappointment and failure if I think I am not losing fast enough.

Hey Mo--you are doing OK--I know you seemed to be dropping slowly at first, but you are still moving! I'm not that far ahead of you at -51. (still hoping for another by tomorrow!) Joy

4 months post op (3-2-04) about 70 pounds. I have quick weight loss the first two months. Now it is about 13 pounds a month. I am OK with that. I was 272 and am 200 this AM. I am 5' 3". It makes a difference what you eat. The more carbs you add the slower you will lose - protein protein - I need to listen to myself!!

My surgery was the 26th and as of this morning i have lost 61 pounds. You have to remember though that the bigger you are to start the faster you lose....you may not think so but you were smaller than alot of others. LaRhonda
