Hey guys!I can wear regular jeans!
I know this sounds pretty sad to those of you who were light-weights to begin with, but I have had a pair of Faded Glory jeans that my Mom gave me for ever. She lost weight and cannot wear them anymore. (Actually all I have to wear is her old clothing.) They are a size 24, been washed and dried, non-stretch, didn't have to lie down on the bed, stood up and zipped like regular people jeans! I have not done that since I lost weight in high school with a starvation diet and nearly died. I regained all of it in college. It sucked!!
This; however, does so NOT suck!!!!! and ps, I found space between my legs when I was sitting down! If you don't get it you won't understand, if you do then you know how excited I am. Oh, I have been crossing my legs too!

Doesn't sound sad AT ALL. I think the commonality we all share is being shut out of the life that most people live without even thinking about it. Getting dressed to go about your business and not having that be a big deal any more is an awesome milestone! Congratulations and many more of them!
I just gave away my so-called "thin" pants that, if I crammed myself into them I kidded myself I was doing great. It has been a very weird (but welcome) experience to find out that those are being left behind as well.
Onward to us all! And let's hear it for no chapping of inner thighs in the heat that is coming this summer!

That is great!!! I know the feeling of wearing regular jeans now too. Before WLS i wore a size 26 jeans, and now, I am in 16s and i even bought some jeans in the juniors department at Gordmans!! I was very excited and know the feeling, and it is a great feeling to see sizes of jeans on my butt that i never thought possible!! Keep up the great work!!
Crystal.... Bless Your Heart.... I am so happy for you and want to share in your joy.... yes, I do understand the things you mentioned... This surgery we have had, has given us such a wonderful gift... it is nearly like Christmas everyday as the pounds continue to melt off and we discover new things we can do, for some of us again... for some maybe the first time.... we are like new babies as we rediscover our bodies and the things they are able to do.... The other day I was laying down on the couch and I wanted to lay on my side and as I dropped one knee down on top of the other as I have done so many times in the past..... OUCH!!!! I discovered there are BONES in both knees and when you bang them together they hurt!!!! It really suprized me.... so folks be careful as bones begin to appear from under the layers of fat that have protected us for so long..... we might break something..... Keep up the good work Crystal and thanks for sharing your progress..... Love and Hugs.. Sharon from AZ
