What a great day! My back hurts like hell so I called my pcp this morning to see if they could work me in. They always do because they're so wonderful. I have scoliosis with a lordodic curve in the small of my back that pulls my weight forward. It does however give me a butt that has been referred to as a "Booty Man's Kryptonite." Now that I'm losing weight and developing a lovely pannis, my balance and back are thrown more out of whack. Not much can be done about it other than what I'm doing with exercise and stretching, but I decided to make a pest out of myself with the pcp and chirpopractor so that I might get some plastics covered by insurance because removing the skin will be the only thing that will help. Anywhoooooo.... I'm down 70 pounds - but wait! That's not the exciting part. The exciting part is that the nurse took my bp with a regular cuff on the upper part of my arm. This is one of my major milestones. They always have to take my bp on the lower part of my arm or haul out the big ol' thigh cuff. I'm feeling positively svelte. Connie

You go girl! That is a HUGE victory! I hate having my BP taken because I always have to ask "Is that the BIG cuff?". It sucks! Can't wait until I can have a regular cuff used on me!! That's one of my big (pun intended) problem areas - my flabby arms. Seems like they don't get any smaller, no matter how much I lose. I'm afraid I'll have to end up having plastics on them at some point. Oh well, the price I have to pay to be beautiful! HAAAA!! My daughter is on swim team and her meets are each Monday starting around 3 in the afternoon. I would LOVE to wear something sleeveless, but my pride won't allow it, so I suffer in short (at least to the elbow) sleeves in the Texas heat. Good for you, you svelte hottie, you!! -Wendy

Connie, I am sorry to hear that you are having some back pain, but like you said maybe it will work to your advantage in the long run. I am jealouse that you now get to use the small cuff. I can't wait for that day. I hate having my blood preassure taken they always blow the cuff up so much it is painful. Congrats!! Leslie

How do you do it, Connie? How is it that every time you post to this board you shower it with brilliant rays of sunshine. I am so happy for you, Happy Girl! I'm not sure what you mean by the Booty Man's Kryptonite referral to your buns but sounds like it needs to be featured in a Bond flick! Happy day, Maureen
