JUST DO IT!!

I realize I flying high on endorphins right now, and I don't want to preach, but for those out there who are not working out, just do it. Do something! I have been working out on a regular basis now, and I can't believe how great I feel. I just did 30 minutes of cardio on an eliptical machine, lifted weights for 45 minutes, and a 10 min. walk to cool down. Two months ago I couldn't have walked 10 mins. My journey is a bit different then some. I was a college football player in excellent condition. There was a point in college where they wanted me to gain weight and I couldn't. All that changed when I graduated and didn't workout three hours a day and walk around a large college campus. Over the years I gained weight, I would do some fad diet, lose 50 to 75 pounds, then gain it all back and more. When I hit 450 pounds I knew I had to do something. I gave it one last try and did Atkins. I lost 80 pounds and was doing fine as long as I stayed under 25 grams of carbs a day. But, I couldn't do that and I gained the 80 pound back and more. As I said before I'm down over 150 pounds now and I know I will make my goal. I eat so different now, I will make my goal. Working out is huge for me. It is what is making the biggest change in my life. It helps my attitude and my body. Well, I step off my soapbox now. I wish all of you the best of luck.

Ken, I'm with ya all the way. I'm at the gym 6 days a week. I'd be there 7, but I make myself rest for one day. On the one day that I rest, I feel like a slug. I've got so much more energy. I used to be exhausted by the time I got to work in the morning, much less done with the work day. Now I'm up and out the door early, put in a full day, head to the gym for a couple of hours, come home and clean house and have to force myself to go to bed because I still have energy left. Connie
