My hair is starting to fall out

I was hoping I would be one of the lucky ones but its already started. I always lose hair during pregnancy. I have Zinc but have not been taking it becasue I have to chop it into thirds to be small enough- shame on me. I'll start now. Anyone know of a chewable zinc? or prenatel vitamin? Robin 247/189/130

Try to increase your protein. That is supposed to be the reason for the hair loss.

Funny, I noticed hair in my comb this morning too. Don't notice any difference on my head (yet) though. I'm still taking protein and vitamins--we shall see if it makes a difference... Joy -45 lbs

I have not started to lose any yet?? Thank goodness. But I also get my protein in and take two multi chewable a day. Doctor said that should curb some hair loss. Marissa -51lbs

I am almost 5 months out and I have also been putting proteine in my hair from the beauty shop you can buy it you put it in your hair wrap your hair in a hot towel let it set 20 miniutes then wa**** out. I have fuller and softer hair than ever before I love my hair now. Sarah T

I have been a way for a while with another bladder surgery and 3 ulcers and I wanted to know what the flaxseed oil do good for? Sorry have had a lot of proglems with my mom getting sick and she has a stent put in and now it is not working and we are alll going nuts, The thought of losing my mom is too much to much for me to take! I do not want to lose my mom, I would rather die myself that to looose jer. she has held +9 lkids together and we would all die if we lost her, She is my lifeline, please pray for my mom,She had a stent put in and has had to have 24 blood infusions and she is only 132 pounds and very short. She has no energy, at all, I love her and cant lose her! I just cant! Her hair is doing just fine but she has real thick permed hair.My mother is my best friend and to think something could happen to her I would be numb in side, aany suggestions on how to make my momma happy! she is a wonderful person and would do anything for anyone and she is on a fixed income, me and my sisters and brothers pay for her pill and persc and you can end up costing a bundle,My mom is junecollier out of elkhart, IN,. Hi Robin I take "one source" prenatal vitamins (walmart under$5.00) and "one source" hair,nail and skin vitamins (walmart under$5.00). I also take a B12, calcium and a magnesium with zinc. My hair seems fuller and longer (growing faster!!) but it is still coming out by the hands full especailly when it's wet. My brush has to be cleaned every day!! I've always had very, very thick hair but this is unlike anything I've ever experienced before!! So many different opinions on why. Some say protien. But I've heard from people who have gotten 80 grams at least from the start who still lost hair. and those who didn't meet protien and lost no hair. Some say it's related to anastesia (spelled wrong I know) and then there are others who say it's related to loosing a lot of weight fast. I've heard that one of the side effects of optifast is hair loss. I guess the good news is that it's not permanent, and we don't go totally bald!! Till then, I'll keep taking my vitamins (they make me feel good, and my nails are growing too!) and cleaning the hair out of my drain. Good luck!! Kym -63

Robin, I started taking Biotin about a week ago.I havent noticed any more hair other then the normal 100 hairs everybody loses everyday coming out.I heard wonderful things about it and it wasnt very expensive($10.00 for 100) Maybe worth a try. Good luck, Jeanie
