3 Month Check-In
Good morning! I am on the fly as usual but wanted to touch base. Boy, life has sure changed since going back to work! At least I have the energy now to deal with the frantic pace. Weighed in yesterday on the date of my 3 month anniversary. From date of surgery, I am down 64 lbs. I feel great, although at times I am very, very hungry. Anyone else experiencing this? I have picked up my exercise (according to Joy's marching orders!!!!) and am doing a work-out course every day that includes 248 steps!!!! Am really noticing the hanging skin on my legs is toning up! Have a great day all you terrific, wonderful people!! Maureen
Hi Maureen,
I was thinking about you yesterday on 'our' anniversary! Meant to post.but the day got away from me...
(there is A LOT of not so great stuff going on in my life right now..but I will post that someday soon hopefully, if I can find the words/courage/etc..)
The 3 month anniversary was a good thing though! I am down 58 pounds..and know that it should be more..but have made some not so good choices which is in direct relation to the above stated stuff going on. That is frustrating for me..trying to NOT use food during emotionally difficult times.
I am not in on the challenge with all the other marchers..I was away for 5 days and forgot to sign up before I left..but am trying to be a great cheerleader and do the stuff anyway.
So good for us..we made it 3 months..and just think...it will be a l year before we know it and we will look back at this year as a breeze!
Take care,
Kris
Congrats on your success! You should be really proud of yourself. I'm still moving slow and steady, but I'm definitely not getting hung up on the scale any more. I know it'll come off - I just have to work better with it. I'm still not eating as often as I should. In fact, it's 2:00 in the afternoon here and I haven' t even eaten breakfast yet. Just not hungry. I did force a protein shake down, though so at least I'm gettin some nutrients.
Hey - I saw your post regarding the vitamins and I went out and bought me some this a.m. I hope they will help me get some energy and help me feel a little better. I've just been so lethargic lately. ANYWAY - are you taking your vitamins in the a.m. or p.m.? If you're taking them in the a.m., that *MAY* be why you're getting very hungry. When I was on Rx pre-natal vitamins about a year and a half or so ago, my OB suggested that I take them at night because otherwise they would make me famished. Don't know if the OTC pre-natals would have the same effect, but if you're taking them in the a.m, switch to p.m. and see if that doesn't help.
Have a great day, sweetie!!
