Just got my blood test results back from my PCP. My surgeon will review them with me at my 3 month post-op on Monday, but I am too excited to wait till then. Before surgery my Cholestorol was in the 250 range - not terribly high, but still higher than it should be. Well, now it's 158, with the HDL only 33 and LDL at 100. I was so psyched when they told me. The nurse that I spoke to didn't read the whole chart, so when she was telling me, she said - "WOW - what ever you've been doing keep doing. It's really gone down." She didn't realize it was becuase of WLS. mgm -55

My surgery was the same day as yours and only after 25 lbs and 6 weeks it had gone down from 285 to 180. In fact ALL my blood readings were normal already! It is great isn't it?

Congrats, I understand your excitement. Went to my endocronologist and my AIC went from 6.6 down to 6.2 (non diabetic is under 5.0), and my cholestrol went from 240 down to 140...without taking the meds. I'm so happy to be just taking synthyroid (thyroid removed 14 yrs ago) and this actigall (to prevent gallstones). Now vits thats a different story, seems like tons, but I don't mind. Good luck, Wendy PS Where is Hillsborough...N.Jersey? I'm in S. Jersey, just curious

Hillsborough is just north of Princeton. I used to live in S.Jersey - Pomona, Absecon, then Hammonton. mgm

oh okay, I'm about 60 miles from A.C. so I know that area and have a few friends in Hammonton. I don't think Princeton's that far from me either, probably the same distance, about an hour. Wendy
