I am just wondering how everyone is doing and what you are doing. How much have you lost so far, and what kind of exercise are you doing. I have lost 54lbs. so far. I am on another plateu right now though and ran out of my favorite protein powder so I need to place an order right away. I really wish I could get Unjury protein at a local store rather than order it online. I also need to get serious about exercise. SO far I am walking occasionally. In my defence I have been extremely busy with end of school year stuff with my kids. I am also on a major cleaning and organizing kick. It is great because I finally have the energy to get this stuff cleaned up. It feels great. Anyway, looking forward to hearing how everyone else is doing. Nicole -54lbs

Hi Nicole, I'm hovering around the 60 pound mark. I actually gained 4 pounds this last week, but as of this afternoon, they seem to be gone. I take step aerobics 3 times a week, one night a week I take an aerobics class called Zumba that's a ton of fun. Sort of a latin rythm cardio class. On two of the days that I'm not in a class, I do 30 minutes on the elliptical trainer. On the 7th day, I rest. I do weight training everyday, alternating muscle groups. I'm fortunate because my son is grown and I have the time to devote to myself now. Connie

I know what you mean about getting the kids ready for the end of the year, I have two boys of my own and I am the administrator of an International preschool here in Israel. I can hardly breath with all of the end of the year activities! I was on a platue for about a week and then I uped my protien, as of today I am officially down 46 lbs. I can't say I have been doing much in the line of exercise other then walking occasionally. I have also not been seen for my post-op check as of yet- this is an isurance issue and I think I finally have it resolved. I will go this week and have some test done to see why I am so tired, other then that I am doing great. I have no issues with food, not mentally or physically and damn I feel good about that! Don't let the platue get you down, it will break and you'll be on the losing track again!

Hi Nicole. I had my surgery on March 8 and my last weigh-in (last week) showed a loss of 61 lbs. Like you, I am frantically busy especially with running my kids around and beginning a new job. I have a very difficult time finding the time to do the exercise, so try to incorporate it into everything that I do -- for instance, parking the car far away from any building or store I have to go into to make myself walk. I try to walk during my lunch hour, but walking just doesn't cut it for me. I need to really move, get my heart pumped up, build muscle tone, that sort of thing. Have just began to notice my skin is really starting to sag in places, especially inner thighs so want to do whatever I can to stall that. As for eating, I pretty much eat whatever I feel like eating at any given moment, except in every small portions. I have not tried anything that I view as nutritionally empty, like cake, cookies, pancakes, pretzels, chips -- have not tried junk food of any kind and stay completely away from highly processed, white flour-based foods. If I feel I need a carb kick, I'll have a small amount of oatmeal with sliced strawberries, which is a real treat! So, for me the exercise issue is the toughest right now. Thanks! Maureen

Hi Nicole: I am doing well. I've lost 40 and need to lose another 30-40 more. I eat well, feel fine but don't exercise too much and don't have the excuse of having kids in school. I have been thinking aobut exercising. I post my weight and meals on fitday.com so I can keep track of calories, and protein intake. Sounds like you are doing well. Thanks for asking. Louise

I had surgery March 2 and now down 56 lbs. I've added a lot of salmon to my diet becasue I don't like the protein drinks. Still struggling with water intake. I just now started exercising (too sick before - anemia and pancreaitus). I'm trying to walk 30 minutes a day and started lifting hand weights. Feel great now that my anemia is getting better. Robin

I have lost 40 lbs so far. Had surgery 3/18/04. I feel I am loosing so very slowly but it is coming off. I can eat just about anything I want although I don't tolerate milk...lactose intolerant now I think. I don't get all of my fluids in, try to exercise about 3 times a week but other than that, I sit all day at work. Had to buy a dress for my stepdaughter's wedding and feel I am making progress. Looking forward to losing the other 40 lbs I need to loose. Everyone is doing so awesome!! Congratulations to everyone! linda -40

Well, I had surgery on March 29th and am currently down 47lb. I have been getting my big butt out of bed on M, T, TH, F to go to the gym before work (that is no small feat, I hate mornings!!). I work out on the bike or tread mill for 20-40 min and do around 30 min of weight training. Then on T, TH I try to go to a yoga class. I can eat just about anything eventhough I am still battling that stubborn ulcer in my pouch. Other than that just working. Leslie

HI, I have lost above 50# but not sure how many exactly until my Dr apt on Friday. I Jazzercise 4 times a week, play volleyball for 3 hours every Sunday and I just got a job as a waitress...so 4 nights a week I am on my feet and walking for 4-8 hours a night. I find I am obcessed with exercise and I now wake up thinking how much exercise can I get today rather than what will I eat. I am so happy!!!!
