Hi Everyone, Could you all do me a favor & post your weight losses since surgury. I've been going to the boards for awhile but have been away on vacation & lost track of peoples totals. I was expecting a large loss when returning from vacation with being away for 10 days & being without a car, I figured I'd really put a dent in my weight loss & low & behold I weighted in this morning & I'm down only another 3 pounds. I did just get my period yesterday so I'll take that into consideration but ****that's not enought!!! I had my surgery on March 26th, really only lost about 5 pounds prior to surgury & have hit many plateaus. I am down 38 now & I'm not sure if that is average or below average. Just curious what everyones totals since surgery are. I'll be starting Curves real soon so I know this will help but I still am disappointed. Ellen 315/277

Hi Ellen, I had my surgery as close to the end of the month as you can get! I'm barely a Marcher!! Anyway, I have lost 48 lbs. so far, but I started out quite a bit more than you, so that does make a difference. My starting weight was 373, and I am now at 325. I will pray for your continued success! Tammy 373/325/160?

Hi, Thanks for your response. Sounds like you are doing great. Just a quick question, is your name Julia or Tammy???? Ellen

LOL Most people on here already know this, I think, but my real name is Tammy. I changed my username to a fake name when I decided I didn't want my personal info broadcast in a public forum -- I don't mind you knowing my first name, though. I picked Julia Roberts because I like her, and because I thought it was humerous. Tammy

Hi Ellen, I had my surgery on 3/22/04. I have lost 60 pounds; however, that includes the 15 pounds of fluid I gained in the hospital (and took two weeks to get rid of). My doc does not go by pounds lost but by % of excess weight. At 6 weeks, the expectation is 15-20% of excess weight lost and, att 3 months, the expectation is 20-25%. Keep up the good work!!! Ellen, I had surgery on 3/29, and I am down 44lb. I was on a plateau for a while but getting my butt into the gym for an hour 4-days a week seems to be working for me. Leslie 264/220/130

Hi I had surgery on the 18 of March. I had a killer plateau of about 4 weeks plus another of a week or 2. BUT I have since started Jazzercising and Weight Training and am down 45#. I know that the weights are changing fat to muscle and muscle weighs more so that could be another difference but I feel the difference in my clothes and naked too . 275/230/159 (dr goal) 140 (my goal) beautyhealthandyou.myarbonne.com
