CALLING ALL MEAT EATERS
So far i haven't had a problem with any meat,
this is kinda scaring me a bit. I do cut it up very very small, even if i am having lunchmeat i cut that up in little pieces too, and i make sure it is not tuff and i chew chew chew. So far the only thing that got stuck was a pice of turkey lunch meat and a piece of crock pot roast ( and both were because i didn't chew well enough i could tell when they came back up). My dr said if something doesn't settle right in your stomach wait a week and then try it again. There could be a million resons why it won't settle for ya. I wish you luck Tamera, maybe next time it will go down better for ya.
Good luck,
Amy

Tamera,
I still can't handle meat very well. I used to be able to handle Wendy's Chili but about 5 weeks out, I can't eat any meat no matter how much I chew. The nutritionist said to wait a few weeks and try meat again. Some people take longer before they can handle meat. I live on cottage cheese, refried beans and protein shakes.

we are all so different. I can eat anything and had a burger on a bun for dinner.
Have you tried having high quality fresh meat that is lower in fat. Lunch meat, and fast food meat are probaly not the highest quality of meats. How about some veal or chicken? I find it easier to eat if it is moist too.

Grilled fish works well with the pouch... it is really soft.
I now have no problems eating any foods. I eat grilled chicken, turkey, steak, ground beef, pork chops, etc...
I make sure it is moist and I do not sit and chew for days either. I just cut the meat in small pieces. I eat a few bites and then I come back to it later. If I overeat meat, then it hurts my pouch.
IE: I can eat 2-3 chicken nuggets from Chick fil a. I can eat about five bites of a boneless chicken breast.
The best way to get your protein in is to drink protein shakes three-five time a day. I try to get in four-five a day. I drink 2 Carb Solutions and the others I make with Zero Carb Isopure Creamy Vanilla with fresh fruit and ice in the blender. I add 1/2 cup of strawberry daiquiri mix as well.
