I went to an interview this morning and got the job!! (It felt WONDERFUL putting in my resignation with Aetna!!) And now I get to start somewhere where I am not the token office super obese woman or where EVERYONE knows I have had WLS - I can choose to tell or not tell as I wish instead of people I dont even know coming up to me telling me their opinions on WLS rather I know them or not. Just wanted to share the good news! -Sherrie

Sherrie, congratulations! I have just started my new job this week (today is my 3rd day) and what a difference 50 lbs. gone makes! I feel so much more comfortable in my body and confident in my abilities. This is just the beginning for all of us and the sky is the limit as to what we can accomplish. Good for you, I'm very happy for you. All the best, Maureen

Congratulations on your new jobs Sherrie and Maureen. I think it's wonderful. Sherrie just remember if you don't want to be known as the lady who had wls then don't tell anyone. If you tell one person then everyone will know. I would wait and let people get to know me for a few months before sharing anything so personal. It has been my choice not to tell anyone other than my dh, dd, and ds. Dd and ds both had wls and were my inspiration. Congrats again, you must feel great. Enjoy the new job. Louise

Congratulations! Last year I interviewed with a company.. I did the telephone interview, and then a full day of in-person interviews, where I was interviewed by four two-person teams, and I was one of two finalists. When I got to the final round, the interviewer was a very thin, petite woman. I felt like we never clicked, and I think my weight was a problem for her. It was one of my considerations when I decided to have WLS. Like realizing that I was getting so big, I was becoming a non-functional foodaholic and I had to do something. Anyway, congratulations to you!!!!!!! and to all of us whose horizons in life, love, and careers are broadening as we shrink. Jen
