Protein Shakes ??????
I use Isopure Dutch Chocolate and Isopure Zero Carb Vanilla. The Chocolate has only 1.5 grams of carbs for 25 grams of protein. I mix both of them with water - and they mix up very smooth and creamy. With the vanilla I'll throw in about a 1-1.5 inch piece of banana and then maybe a chunk of pineapple -both frozen and blend away! Fruity and yummy. For the peanut butter lovers -the chocolate is great blended with a bit of peanut butter.
One thing to remember about protien is that your body can only aborb about 30 grams at a time - mainly only athlete can abosorb more at a time. Also another note about the powered proteins is that they have to be consumed within 20-30 minutes of being prepared. Most of the proteins that wls paitents use are pre-digested -therefore they breakdown quickly.
My norm is 2-3 shakes a day to make sure I'm getting plenty of protein - hopefully to starve off the hairloss! hehehehe
