Protein Shakes ??????
Carb Countdown low-carb chocolate milk, and even the plain is hands down MUCH better than any protein shake you can find out there. It is lower in protein than Atkins and Slim Fast low-carb shakes but it is higher in protein than the EAS low-carb ones.
I tried the Unjury unflavored powder in my low-carb choc milk last night and yes, it was great. I just ordered one container of each online. Gonna try it in SF pudding next!

I use the Unjury chocolate powder in Lactaid milk. I tried the Carb Countdown chocolate milk & it was so gross it almost made me hurl. If you put Unjury in a glass of milk, you will get 28g of protein, and it tastes just like regular chocolate milk. The Carb Countdown chocolate milk is really thick & chewy. Yuck. YMMV.
I've only found one that I can take daily. I put 1 scoop of Any Whey (by Optimum Nutrition - 17 grams protein) into 8 oz skim milk (8 grams protein) + 1 packet of splenda. Tastes like a thin milk shake - none of the thick, coat your mouth stuff that I get from the others I have tried. I have one when I get up in the am, and one before I go to bed in the pm. That's a definite 50 grams of protein before I add any food that I have.

I have a whole tub of unflavored "all the whey" I still struggle to use. I use it,no I can't,yes I can,no and on and on. What I have found that I like are the carb options chocolate premixed shakes. They are 20 g protien. I put it in the freezer and it ices up and reminds me of a milk shake.
One word of advice, don't smell them!! They all smell horrible to me!!! (ANY PROTIEN SHAKE!!) My nose is like a bloodhounds now!!! I did try the carb countdown milk in chocolate...I thought it'd be good to make a shake with and even though it taste very good (my kids loved it) I
so I haven't tried it again.
Good Luck

Kellie,
I have spent hundreds of dollars searching for a protein shake that I LIKE that also LIKES ME!!! I've a horrible time with hidden carbs and the like. Anyway my search finally ended with success!! The winner??
Unjury!! http://www.unjury.com
They have unflavored which can be mixed with anything. Vanilla (my favorite) out of which I make shakes and mix with FF cream cheese for my mini-bagels in the morning. The chocolate is great in milk to just drink as chocolate milk.
Hope this helps!

I DRINK THE ISOPURE PROTIEN . (50 GRAMS OF PROTIEN, & NO CARBS) IT'S A POWDER AND IT SAYS TO MIX IN WATER, BUT I USE CARB COUNTDOWN MILK. I PUT 12 OZ. OF MILK AND 2 SCOOPS OF PROTIEN POWDER AND 2 PACKS OF SPLENDA AND ABOUT 1/2 TEASPOON VANILLA FLAVORING. YOU CAN GET THE PROTIEN IN VANILLA , CHOCOLATE, STRAWBERRY AND FRUIT FLAVORERS. YOU CAN ALSO GET THE MILK IN SKIM, 2%, WHOLE AND CHOCOLATE. IT TASTES GREAT. HOPE THIS HELPS. JUDY
Initially I had a hard time tolerating them but once I added ice and a straw, I'm doing ok with:
Worldwide Pure Protein Stawberry shake - it's premade in a can.
1g fat
3g carbs (1g sugar)
35g protein
160 calories
I know you can get it off the internet. I buy them at a local Vitamin Shoppe (it's a chain), it's about $25 for a case of 12.
Unfortunately I don't have the time to mix stuff or play around with it. I need something that I can pour in a cup with ice and go.
It's my breakfast every morning and I don't get too hungry before lunch time. I miss "real" breakfast stuff sometimes but when I go to the cafeteria at work, it's nothing but a huge spread of carbs! So I have to stay away.
I don't normally have it for any other meal but last night I had it for dinner because I was short on time.
Good luck,
Jen
