Weight loss..draggin' A**
Hello my friends! I wouls like to know if anyone else's weight loss is starting to slow down or have hit a plateau? I haven't lost much weight in the past few weeks. I am getting all my protein in and have even bumped up my water intake...
I will put this out though... I am soooooo impatient. I want everything now, so maybe I am just being inpatient once again.
Okay, one more thing... I have to tell you guys that I bought a bathing suit yesterday for the first time in 13 years!! Yup, me in a bathing suit. I am starting a water aerobics class and I am sooo excited!
Alright, that will be enough out of me! Love to you all!
Leah

Leah,
Don't worry yourself over a plateau. They come and go from what I read. I lost 60 pounds real fast then all of a sudden it came to a snails pace. It will come off. Our bodies are still adjusting to the new set up. You just keep on doin' the right things and the plateau will break. Good luck to you and you look MAAAAAAAAAAAHVELOUS.
Love Back at YA.

Hi Leah,
Yep same here...I lost 40 pounds real fast then boom...complete stop for like 3 weeks. Then it started to slowly creep off. I lost 10 lbs this month but more like in 2 weeks. It comes in spurts for me then stops for 2 weeks then loose more then stop. Its a strange weight loss for sure. You hang in there! The water aerobics should REALLY kick start the loss. Congrats on the bathing suit!
Best Wishes!

Hi Leah,
First of all thanks for your kind words about my pictures. That was a big step for me to put those up there. I appreciate it so much.
Secondly..you look fabulous. Is this a new picture of you?
Third...I have hit a big ole stale mate as well..haven't lost a thing in nearly 2 weeks..thats why I decided to put the pics up..hoping I would get some encouragement! You are not alone on the plateau. Its good to know that I think. Sometimes I feel like its just me doing this...then I get in here and feel so much better!
Finally...you get in the bathing suit and enjoy yourself. Good for you!!
You are doing a great job!

I lost 45 lbs really quickly and, since my last period, about 3 weeks ago, I've lost abot 10 lbs. At first I was discouraged, but now I'm trying to be Zen about it and think how long it would have taken me to lose what I've already lost had I not had the surgery, if I could even lose that much at all.
As long as I'm doing what I'm supposed to do and it still comes off, no matter how slow, I'm happy.
Wow...I'm so glad to read all these postings. I too lost 45lbs since surgery but most of it was in the beginning...now it's a lot slower. For what I can read that's the way it goes...but my clothes are getting bigger and I feel like there's less of me. Today I told my husband...who moved the car seat back? And then I realized the seat has not moved...I just am not as big as I was!
My only shorts (I've had them for years and I refused to buy more until I lost weight) are finally lose. They were about 7in short of closing before surgery! THAT is what matters to me...and yes, the fact that these pounds are NOT coming back. I think a lot clearer now because I'm not eating junk/carbs all day and I wake up feeling great every day...not bummed that I messed up again. There's a lot more to this surgery than the weight loss. I hope I never forget where I'm coming from.
Hugs to all,
Paola

It is great to hear where everyone else is at on the weight loss. I thought that I was a slow loser too - but appears I might be more on average. I'm down 43# and 5/30 will be my two month mark. I tend to compare too much to my hubby though - who had his on 4/6 and is down a whopping 62#. No jealousy though - just terribly happy for his success!
Leah - I am just now coming off a plateau of sorts myself. We recently started a fairly vigorous exercise routine, so I think that my body is adjusting a bit for that. Hoping that once it sees this is the norm that it will let go of more of my extra baggage!
Good luck!
Leah (too)
Im in the same boat girl. It seems like the scale is actually glued between 5 pounds or so. I dont know if thats possible with a digital, but I think it is, hehe. A little OT here, but I still have yet to get a normal period. I have PCOS, but I thought I'd get better on that soon after surgery. Anyone else with this problem? How are your hands Leah? Will you be coming to Long Beach next weekend?
