happy this morning

I weigh myself every day but I don't always record it. I was pretty happy this morning to see that my weight is 218.5. This is about what I weighed after undergoing a "dieting challenge" at work (we got weighed each week by a vice president - how's that for motivation?), right before I met my boyfriend. Next milestones: 200 - lowest college weight 185 - Optifast weight 160 - third grade. OK, maybe not third grade.. but I remember kids picking on me in third grade, hassling me about telling them how much I weighed. I had no idea what a third grader was SUPPOSED to weigh, I just knew I was way more than whatever that number was, so I guessed and I told them 60 lbs. I still don't have an established "goal". My doctor was reluctant to set one. Am I the only Marcher left who doesn't have a goal yet? Weigh****chers' website says a healthy weight for me (5'7-1/2", 30 yrs) is 155. I think 160 would be amazing, 165 more realistic.. I've been told you end up with about 7 lbs of extra skin for every 100 lbs of fat you lose, and that people who were heavy as children tend to develop denser bones. Jen 266/218.5/?

Jen - Congratulations on the fabulous loss! Wow - that is impressive! I see you do what I do and put a time frame to your weights. I can name what time of my life each weight was - is that pathetic or what? Dina

I have no goal as I see this as a process. Kinda like jumpin in the car with no map but a rough idea of where I'm headed. it will be fun to see where I get. Congrats on the loss.

Hey Jen! We started out at the same weight, and it looks like we are losing at the same rate, too! Good going! My surgeon didn't give me a goal, but I have a small frame, and at 5'7, I want to be 137. Good luck on your continued journey -- isn't it the BEST? Lee 266/217/137

Hey Jen..YOu are doing fabulous***** I think all us MARCHERS are!!! Is it because we March??? (that was a stupid comment but I couldn't backspace it, I want you all to know that I am cheesy and a little goofy too!!) I am at 232...The LAST time I did Atkins a few years ago I was at 233# and lost to 218# so that is my next goal..then 190# what I was when I got masrried and pregnant...then 170# what I was in college..then 160# what I was all through High School. I always wanted to be 140# in High School so that is my final goal..wouldn't mind being in the 130's though either. Doc's goal for me is 159# and at 5'6" and 26 years old I would be ok with that but would rather get to my old goal. I hope we will all be at or near goal NEXT March when we go on a trip together!!!!!!!!!!!! beautyhealthandyou.myarbonne.com

Hi Jen -- I don't have a formal goal from my surgeon - although he did want me under 200 by my 12 month anniversary. I started at 387 so I'm not counting on it happening since I appear to be losing a tad slower than most at my starting weight. I'm right there with you and Dina in relating weight to significant time periods of my life -- lol -- well sort of! Since I was 18, there has only been one period where I was exteremely ill and fell below 300 (285). So my major goals are: 1. below 300 pounds (36 more to go woohoo). I was 308 when I went to college in 1986. 2. below 285 - then I can say I'm the smallest I've ever been in my adult life! 3. below 252 - this is the weight when I went to Weigh****chers camp at age 11 - pathetic huh. 4. below 221 - this would be the weight I was when I got home from Weigh****chers camp ( haha ) -- at that point I'll be smaller than I ever was from 6th grade on! 5. under 200 -- that would be amazing! 6. my personal goal is probably 150 -- however my mother looks overly thin at 150 and I think we have a similar build, although my build has never been devoid of enough fat for me to truly tell!!!! I am so excited to be on this journey. Today I tried on some clothes that I had bought for summer...and they fit!!! Lissa
