How is everyone's hair doing?

I'm almost 3 months out and I have not noticed any excessive loss (yet). In fact, my hair is thicker than before, undoubtedly due to the protein and vitamins! I hope it stays that way! My hair is fine and thin at the best of times, but it seems to be growing faster than before. I hope you all are doing as well! Joy P.S. I'm cleaning out clothes today, and just for the heck of it, tried on a pair of size 10 jean shorts. They actually zipped up!!! I am wearing them now!!!! Unbelievable!!! OK, I know they are probably mis-sized and they do have elastic, but still!

Hi Joy, So far, no loss to speak of. The other day I did see two hairs in the sink and wondered if I should plan to panic sometime soon. Since then, I haven't seen any loss. I'm pretty good about the protein and take hair and nail supplements. Don't know if it makes a bit of difference. Connie

My hair is still thick and healthy - I notice a tiny bit of loss when my hair is wet but They dont call me hairy Sherrie for nothing - I have always had a thick head - hair included. I am 69 1/2 lbs down now - 70 sounds a lot better but that stubborn 1/2 lb wants to linger. I guess I need to drink a gallon of water today and see what happens. -Sherrie

My hair is okay right now. Haven't noticed increasing hair loss yet. It's fried though because I processed the hell out of it before I had surgery. I figured it was going to fall out anyway, so I went and brightened the color. Dina

My hair is fine too but I think I read somewhere that hair loss begins 4-6 mos. post op - so we have a ways to go. My dd lost 138 pounds from wls and her hair thinned out quite a bit. she is now 2 years post op and it has grown back in nicely - just as nice as before. Louise

Ok.....So I must be the only one who is starting to lose my hair. I have a thyroid condition so I usually lose more than average as it is one of the side effects of the disease. For the last 2 weeks I have had twice as much as I normaly lose coming out in the shower. I have naturaly thin fine blond hair so I am concerned that I will have bald spots soon if it does not stop. Thank god I have a nice round head so when I am bald I will not be lopsided!! Leslie
