I AM WORRIED SICK!!!

I HAVE BEEN HAVING SEVERE PAIN FOR WEEKS ON & OFF NOW, WELL YESTERDAY, I COULDNT TAKE IT ANYMORE SO I WAS DRIVEN FROM WORK TO MY SURGEONS OFFICE. THEY ORDERED A CT SCAN AND GUESS WHAT I AM NOT CRAZY!!!!! ALL OF THE YUCKY STUFF THAT THEY MADE ME DRINK WAS IN MY BIG OLD STOMACH. NOW I SIT AND WAIT FOR SURGEON TO CALL AND DISCUSS THE NEXT STEP. I REALLY THOUGHT THAT I WAS NUTS!! I HAVENT LOST ANY WEIGHT SINCE ABOUT 2 WEEKS OUT, WELL A FEW POUNDS, MY ACID REFLUX HAS GOTTEN 10X WORSE AND I HAVE BEEN MEASURING AND LIMITING MY FOOD BUT I AM ALWAYS HUNGRY. I BLAMED IT ON HEAD HUNGER AND HAVE BEEN TRYING TO PU**** ASIDE AND TELL MYSELF THAT I WILL GET OVER IT. NOW WHAT? I CANT STAND THE WAITING GAME RENEE

Oh Renee! I am so glad you contacted your surgeon, but I'm so sorry you are dealing with this! I guess it's better that you find out about it now than much later, but still, this is quite the setback for you. :cry: The good news is, of course, from what I understand this can be fixed. The bad news is it's another surgery. Is there a way they can transect your stomach this time? Then you won't have that risk of another staple line abruption. Please keep us posted what the surgeon says and what you have to go through! Dina

I'm proud of you for making yourself go back to your surgeon. I'm sure you didn't want to believe that there was a potential complication, so that fear had you dealing with the pain for too long.
