Am I the only one who vomits due to stupidity?

of course, you;re the only one. That's why last night, after I ate a huge dinner, my son looked at and said "Is it puke-thirty?" :laugh: He makes me sick. Unfortunately, I did not throw up...I ate a whole bratwurst and half a hamburger patty and a small portion of mac and cheese. I'm so scared I have stretched my pouch, even tho my surgeon swears it can't be done. I'm hoping that maybe because the food was already ground up once that it compacted down nicely and pasta just mooshes. If stupidity were a crime, I'd be on death row.

Have you noticed that you don't throw up the same as you used to? It is weird. I sourt of burp and vomit at the same time. Steak is the worst I can't seem to chew it enough. After that happens I usually have liquids the next day just to let my system rest. I am glad to know that I am not the only one too. And boy does it HURT when it gets stuck. It is a great way to learn how to eat though because you definitely remember the pain! Carol

I think we all fight with this problem. It hasn't happened to me too much, but sometimes if I eat something more solid and "forget" to chew it comes back up. Only happened to me a few times and it just reminds me that my new pouch is the one in charge!

HI, No stupidity!!!!! I have vomitted about 5 times since surgery, and I can tell it is mainly from eating too fast. One time I tried to have a couple bites of crab salad, with real mayo, that didn't stay down too long! I guess fat is really my enemy now. I haven't even dared to try anything with sugar! I have also noticed that the later I eat dinner, the more problems I seem to have, so I try really hard not to eat anything after about 7 pm. It is nice to see that I am not the only person in this boat!
