Do you think its too early for me to try the bars? I am 7 weeks out and I bought a bunch to try....do you know if you can chew them enough so they dont get stuck? Thanks so much!!

My doctor said I could do protein bars between 5 and 6 wks. They can be sort of dry, and the first couple of times, I was struggling with them sticking even after chewing really well. It's still tough, but it does help to have them in a pinch when I can't get other food. Hugs, Mo

I use the Atkins cookies and cream ones. They are pretty tasty, and my dr said go for it, jus****ch cause they are higher in fat than other ones. So, I limit my intake, but use them in a pinch. My KID actually likes these!! Lorrie R (-45 lbs)

I think the time factor is ok as long as you are able to eat other foods without them getting stuck. For your first try, just remember to take very tiny bites and chew, chew, chew. Eat slowly, take a minute or two between bites to make sure nothing is getting stuck or causing you discomfort. I was only able to eat 1/2 bar my first couple of tries. Good luck and enjoy! Maureen

I think that I could have them at like 2 months. I would check with your nutritionist. I have found that Dr Phil's bars are great. They have like 15-16grams of protein and are so so yummy. LaDonna -61lbs

I was sick at week 2 after my surgery and back in the hospital. The dietician told me to start eating Zone Perfect bars as a protein supp. I have 1 bar per day in addition to my protein foods and I love them. Double chocolate is my favorite. I bought them at Walmart. I just take little bites and make sure they are almost dissolved before swallowing.
