Please check in!
Hello there... I am new to this board. Usually on the Cali board. Nice to meet everyone!
I was just wondering how much everyone has lost so far. I have lost 45 pounds and was just wondering if I am on track with everyone else. My surgery date was 3/9/04...
Thank you and have a wonderful weekend!!
Leah

Well, as I had 220 to lose, I can say I'm near half of my goal. I'm down 102 since my surgery on 3/1/04. As has been discussed, everybody has a differant rate. Men tend to lose quicker then women. What matters is that you are losing and feeling better. Alls I can say is that two months ago, I wouldn't have been able to go for a 12 mile bike ride after a hard day at work. I have found I'm almost wired with energy as of late. But the beauty of it is that I sleep less, but because I don't snore like I did, I feel more rested. ( My wife has had to wake me on two occasions because I was so quiet she was concerned). Your doing great, keep up the good work.
Hi
I had my surgery the same day that you did! I am down 48 pounds so far 24 pounds from my surgeons goal weight for me of 144. I no longer have a goal weight for myself. I want to be a size 6, right now at 168 pounds I am in a 12/14 so whatever weight I am at when I can fit in the 6 that will be my goal weight.

Well I have lost 45 now as well. But I am stuck for the last week. However, back to work today, as I do a funky 3 day on 3 day off schedule. I usually drop a couple lbs when I work.. so heres hopin today I go down a couple more!!
Congrats to all on their wonderful losses. Its nice to know that we are all headed down, however, keep in mind, the heavier people are, the faster they lose sometimes. And men... *shakes head*.... they ALWAYS dump it faster.... be it this way with surgery, or any other diet.. lol......
Keep up the good work people, and have a GREAT day.

Welcome Leah! You will find the people on this board to be the most extraordinary group! One of our members, Rob, had his surgery on March 31 and he's been in the hospital ever since, suffering from serious complications. We are all praying hard together to bring him home -- and back to the board! Please join us. My surgery was March 8th and I've lost 43 lbs. to date. Many have lost more, some have lost less. I think it's all relative and by about 6 months, we'll all be pretty much on track together. Just keep doing what you're supposed to be doing and you can't fail. Take good care. Maureen
