Hi Mary! I'm just taking a multi-vitamin + iron (CVS Brand). It's a really small pill (no bigger than an aspirin), so it's easy to take. I don't take any B-12 supplements....should I be? Hope you are doing well! -Wendy

Hi Wendy, I know every Doc is different but this is one thing I'm sure we all need, I was given the first B-12 in the hospital before dicharge 3-26-04 and then another in the doc's office on 4-22-04 and when I return on June 22nd he gives everyone a scrit for B-12 to be injected at home one time a month for the rest of our lives I believe, so if I was you I would certainly ask your doc about this ok! hugz Mary

Hi Mary I'm still doing flintstones complete, 3 tums, 1 B12 sublingal, and 50 mg zinc. I have been cleared to stop the chewables!! I can take regular vitamins now!! Yea!! So when I finish these up I will start regular multi's, calcium citrate, and of course my b12 and zinc. kym 03/25/04 -47

I dont know what everyone has heard about calcium but i went to a meeting this past weekend and they said that tums was not a good choice. it was said that calcium citrate is what we can absorb after surgery. the tums and other calcium just dont absorb for us because it needs acid and we dont produce enough. I myself take b12 sub. daily and calcium citrate as well as a chewable from centrum.
