Hang on to your britches...

I was getting a little bummed about still being in the 30's on the loss scale, but my size 18 jeans were almost falling off (I started in a size 20). I only have 2 pairs of size 16s and they were fitting pretty well, but since I wear them to work, I was filling in with the big 18s to avoid daily laundry. Well, I just dug out my 14s and though they are tight, they are wearable!!! Wow! It has been a long time since I wore 14's! No wonder the 18s were falling off! I will be cleaning out the closet this weekend. No telling what I will be able to wear! Yoyo dieting had me ranging from size 12 to 20, and somehow I always shopped more at the low end of my weight than at the high end, so my closet has a wide range of sizes!!! This time I get to GET RID of the big ones instead of keeping them for the end-of-diet gain! Hooray!!!! Joy -38 lbs

Hey Joy, That's wonderful!!! I'll be so glad when the scale starts moving again for me...I'm so looking forward to wearing the 16's and 14's!! All of those clothes were my Mom's though and the generation gap may be a stumbling block for fashion!! Congrats!! Va Was/Am/Wannabe 232/190/130

Congratulations. I know just how you feel. I started out in size 20 and just got into size 16. Boy did that make me happy. Not all my 16s fit yet, but soon. I am so looking forward to only having clothes that fit in my closet. Like you I have yoyo'd for years and have size 10 to 20. I have just packed up my 20's to give to a dear friend who can use them. What size do you want to get to? I'd be ecstatic with a 12 and happy with a 14. Congrats again!!! Louise -32

I'd like to make it to an 8, but would be happy at a 10. I'm only 5'2 1/2" tall and have a very small bone structure. (Size 4.5 ring size, even at current weight!) Joy -38

You go girl! It is sooo much fun fitting into things that you haven't been able to wear in years. I'm happy to hear of your success. Hope work improves for you tho. Hugs, Karen

That's right Joy! Get rid of those old clothes and keep moving down the line in your closet until you get to buy brand new ones! This is great news!!! Dina

Congratulations Joy!! I'm "hanging on to my britches" too, LOL, as they are falling off! I'm not down to a size 20 yet, more like a 26/28(down from 34/36), but if you've got jeans or other clothes that you're giving away, I'd like first dibs! Tammy 373/331/160? -42 lbs.
