Moody as hell...

I can only surmise it's PMS, but who knows. That and the fact that I did the cottage cheese test yesterday and nearly ate a whole 8 oz container of really crappy cottage cheese. It *was* a little soupy, but still....I shouldn't be able to come that close regardless. Guess that is to be expected when your pouch is 4 oz out of the starting gate but I'm feeling very frustrated lately. Dina

Was it large curd....i have seen where that is the only true test. the small goes thru to fast also.

Honestly I don't remember, but I remember that I was having a difficult time (no, actually impossible time) not chewing it. Felt like large curds to me, but who knows. I thought about the fact that I was chewing it, but I am just so afraid something will get stuck, it's become second nature. Dina

Dina, You have too beautiful of a smile to be "THAT" moody!!!! Hang in there you are doing great. Its funny how we all go through those times, I am glad we have each other to vent to. I am blessed to not get PMS, hysterectomy 4 years ago, and loving it, but I still get the down in the dumps losing way to slow days or feeling like I might fail this. Lets all stick together and keep plugging along! Janelle

Hi Dina, I just posted about a support group meeting with Dr. Simpson. He says to try eating tuna instead of cottage cheese if you can't do cottage cheese. It might be better because there is less chance of the tuna sliding right through. Connie

Thanks Connie - do you know if the tuna can have mayo in it? I normally wouldn't eat tuna dry, and I don't think I could hack it. Only concern is if the may would make it slide down or not. I'm thinking not, but who knows. Dina

Hi Dina, I can barely get tuna down with mayo, much less without it. I wouldn't think the mayo would be a problem unless the tuna was swimming in it. Try using as little mayo as you can stand. Let us know if you try this. Connie

Connie - I will let you know if I try it this way. I am almost afraid to try since I got a little sick off tuna once, but I think it was when I wasn't feeling those "full" signals. Whether I do this or oatmeal, I'll post the results.... Dina

Hi Dina, Sorry to hear you are feeling down I notice that when i take longer to eat and especially if something is soupy I can definitely put away alot more than normal. I heard thicker oatmeal is also a great test since its thicker it wont slide on through. I can definitely relate to feeling moody...being on an 18 day plateau was enough to drive me insane! but I started loosing again. I upped my protein to around 80 a day! killed the tortilla chips I probably could eat 8 oz if I ate slow enough...I know I can with things like tortilla chips that turn into a big time easily digestible sludge that goes down way to easy. Cottage cheese I probably could really put that away too if it didnt hurt my belly...(makes me poo). Hang in there...it will continue to work for you. This whole process is still quite frustrating. We are all still feeling our way Keep your chin up ;) Elizabeth M -48lbs

Thanks Elizabeth. I actually think the cottage cheese test was probably pretty accurate, but I'll try it again with maybe the tuna idea or oatmeal. I have usually been pretty good about getting protein in, but may have been slacking slightly as I haven't been drinking the protein drinks lately. They really help get the level up there. Dina
