Spent My birthday In The Emergency room
Hello all,
Friday July 30 was my 39th birthday. I had a terrible day. First off know one even called to wish me a happy birthday. Then me and my boyfriend kinda got into a fight. Went to see the Village and was disappointed. It was an okay movie just not what the commericals made it out to be. Came home and ended up in the ER because I felt sick and dizzy. Here I was dehydrated.I couldn't believe it. Just one day I didnt follow my routine and I dehydrate. Well I rested all day yesterday and got myself back on track. Just wanted everyone to know how important it is to always drink drink drink! I hope all of you are doing well and have a wonderful August.
Take Care , Trisha
Happy Birthday, Trisha!
Wow! 39 and holding......(I've been holding for years, hahahaha). I'm sorry you haven't felt well, when dizziness comes upon me, I always know that I need fluids, despite the comments from my husband about being blonde....(I resemble all the blonde jokes too closely, hehehe). I hope this year blesses you with grace and a peaceful spirit. Good luck to you, some of us wish we could be 39 again!
Love,
Katherine
Hey Trisha,
I'd also like to wish you a happy belated birthday. If I had known, I would've wished you a happy birthday on Friday. I love birthdays and like people around me to feel special on theirs.
It is a good reminder to make sure we drink like we should. I'm sorry you ended up in the ER, but thank you for sharing your experiences with us.
Here's to many more much happier birthdays, and to feeling better!
Linn
Trisha,
Happy Belated Birthday!!! I' m sorry it wasn't a better one for you! Last week must have been the week for health problems.
On Tuesday, I had to go to the dentist to have some work done on a tooth that's getting a crown. I drank as much fluid as I could before the appointment, but there's only so much you can drink between 7:00 and 9:00 am, then I was at the dentist until about 1:00. Let me tell you, around 1:45, I started feeling awful. I got extremely hot, sweaty and clammy and my vision got all screwy (it was getting brighter/dimmer), so I went to sit down, drank some water and ate my calcium chew. I started to feel better, but still not great. I walked out to the outer office and told my secretary that I wasn't feeling well, and was quickly informed that I didn't look good either. I was still very sweaty and uncomfortable. I worked on consuming my protein bar and drinking as much fluid as I could for the rest of the day, including some gatorade.
I didn't feel well again on Wednesday evening, so I made contact with my PA, and she said that the likely cause was a drop in my blood sugar on Tuesday, and that Wednesday evening could have been a repercussion of the day before's incident. She's encouraged me to eat 4-5 small meals a day, instead of the 3 I have been eating (I don't know how much smaller my meals can get!!) But said for me to make sure I get all my fluids in and get in touch with her if I have more problems.
Thankfully I haven't!
But keep up the good work and I hope the coming year brings you joy and happiness!!
