We went to see "We Are Marshall" about the college football team that was killed in a plane cra**** wasn't depressing like you think because it focuses on rebuilding the team after that happens. Anything w/ Matthew McConahey is great. It was a good movie and my husband, son , and I all enjoyed it. We saw it a couple of days before Christmas.
Friday night my sister's family, my son and I, and my sister-in-law and niece went to the movies in Katy and saw "The Pursuit of Happyness" (That's how they spell it!). It stars Will Smith. IT was great, but not really a kid movie. The kids, ages 10-21 tolerated it and didn't complain, but more of a 20+ year old movie. It certainly makes you appreciate having a home. HE and his son lived homeless for a while while he wasn't getting paid. Very motivational and was great. I had a few tears at the end.
We were on our way from Katy to Humble, TX and were going to hit "Holiday"...took too long to get there and we were going to be 1/2 hr. late, so we cancelled plans...hope to see it soon.
Summers and holidays are usually big movie times for us because we have more time to drive an hour to movies. OUr one old dilapidated movie here does have some first runs...but not always what we want to see.
Have a great New Years Eve.

My daughter Brittany and I went to see the Holiday with Cameron Diaz and we loved it. I wasn't impressed with her acting in the beginning but she got better as it went on. I usually don't go to the movies very often but we had a good time.
I do want to see We are the Marshals too.
~~hugs and well wishes~~
