New Year's Roll Call

I hope you all have a happy and safe New Years Eve. If you plan to partake in the bubbly, please designate a driver or hire a cab. Here are a few questions for New Years; 1) Do you watch Dick Clark's Rockin New Years Eve? 2) What are your New Year traditions? 3) Going out or staying home? 4) Are fireworks part of the celebration in your area of the country? 5) New Year foods - what do you eat? 6) Will you get a kiss at midnight? Here are my answers; 1) Of course! It would not be New Years Eve without Dick! 2) Watch the aforementioned, kiss when the ball drops - that's it. 3) Staying home. 4) These people are absolutely nuts here with fireworks. The have been setting them off for a week. Drives me crazy. Until 10 tonight, my neighbors young son was in the street lighting them with his friends. 5) Pork, sauerkraut, mashed potatoes, dumplings and hot dogs. 6) OH YEAH - OH YEAH!!! God Bless! 1: Nope 2: Go over to my dad's house and visit with family and friends 3: Going out, to dad's house and to my friends 4: Sometimes 5: Family eats Tamales, and other fattening foods. Thanks for doing roll call.... 1) Do you watch Dick Clark's Rockin New Years Eve? not usually, but we always end up there at midnight if we are awake. 2) What are your New Year traditions? we used to go to my mom's on New Year's day but we haven't spoken since May. 3) Going out or staying home? staying home...I miss going out though! 4) Are fireworks part of the celebration in your area of the country? yes, usually they have First Night in Albany and they do fireworks at midnight 5) New Year foods - what do you eat? ham and cheese pies at my mom's but since we aren't going i may have to do them myself this year or think of a new tradition. 6) Will you get a kiss at midnight? if we are both awake! Usually we watch movies and get sparkling cider 3) Going out or staying home? * Both- I'm going down to my Hunny's house for the holiday 4) Are fireworks part of the celebration in your area of the country? * not so much... but people do set off noise makers and such 5) New Year foods - what do you eat? * whatever ha ha 6) Will you get a kiss at midnight? * Definately this year

1) Do you watch Dick Clark's Rockin New Years Eve? Yes...flip back and forth...definitely like to watch the ball drop at New York's midnight! 2) What are your New Year traditions? Usually we go to family or friends...not much of drinkers...certainly can't driving kids...Oh no...my son can drive me now. I haven't done much drinking since my younger days...don't like taste of alcohol anyway. 3) Going out or staying home? Tonight...staying home by myself w/ my dog. My husband is at work in Louisiana...son going to lock-in at church at 7:00. My sister told me I can come to her house and spend night, but since Ben will go to college in 2 1/2 years...figure I better put my big girl panties on and deal w/ it. I plan on putting together 3 more scrapbook cubes to add to my scrapbooking area and get it all organized tomorrow. 4) Are fireworks part of the celebration in your area of the country? No. My sister, mom and my family will get together tomorrow at dark and eat and shoot off fireworks at their new house. It is on a little lake and they have their own dock. I'm sure Jen wishes she lived by then. Nothing like 5 teens and their parents shooting off fireworks a day late. 5) New Year foods - what do you eat? We'll eat black-eyed peas for luck and cabbage for money. I don't like the peas, but at least eat a spoonful. Don't want to press my luck. 6) Will you get a kiss at midnight? I guess if my shih tzu kisses me I will, otherwise tonight I'll have to kiss myself! Karla

Usually watch movies with the kids and am in bed well before midnight 3) Going out or staying home? No kids tonight, going OUT! 4) Are fireworks part of the celebration in your area of the country? Not at all 5) New Year foods - what do you eat? usually left over ham from Xmas, chips and dips type stuff, chicken wings, veggies and dip, just a lot of snackish type food and football watching food. 6) Will you get a kiss at midnight?
